Opiate tolerance

I see a lot of people saying once you develop a hardcore tolerance to opiates it's practically permanent but with my experience tolerance wasn't much of a big deal. I was addicted for about a year and a half daily 30 mg oxycodone habit insufflated and the occasional 10 mg morphine shot. Through that time I only developed a moderate tolerance to those and I took common week or two long breaks. I got clean for a year and I got prescribe hydros and found that my tolerance had reset to nothing it was like getting high for the first time again. For the past 6 months I've been using but made sure never more than once a week if I find myself even using twice a week I quit for awhile. I mainly use 15 mg hydro for nodding and occasional 16 mg hydromorphones ER. So the main question is how much time between doses keep no tolerance
 
U pretty much answered ur own question. Start using more frequently and ill see ur tolerance skyrocket in no time
 
I guess a better way of stating it is... Is this use going to last and not develop tolerance or is a week or two in between still not enough
 
you will always have some tolerance but since u used so little it wont be a big tolerance yet
 
I've never notice tolerance as an issue except for the time I was addicted I refuse to raise my dose when my dose becomes ineffective I just quit until it becomes effective

Well that's a small habit so I wouldn't group you in with those with large habits.

IME once your habit is above like 150mg of oxy it never really goes below half that. You could get high off of like 1/3 of that dose after a long break but it doesn't take much for it to get right back up there, but you can keep it in the middle if you space it out enough. So for me if I take a month or so off I can get an alright high from 60mg but I'll always need 90mg to get me a decent high, even if it's once every 10 days.

I made it about a year of regular use before my tolerance really got up there. I was using about 30mg of hrdrocodone 3-4 days a week without much tolerance issues then one day it just started to rapidly increase.

If you keep it to once a week your tolerance should stay the same. I recommend once every 10 days to really make sure of that.

I wouldn't really say that 30mg Oxycodone was a 'hardcore tolerance'...
 
That's why I said moderate tolerance lol. Generally I'm just trying to figure out a good time between dosing to keep Tolerance away I do switch up my opiates such as I'll typically switch between hydrocodone hydromorphone and morphine
 
^Yeah but then what is even the point of comparing your situation to someone with a hardcore tolerance. 30 mg oxycodone with a little bit of morphine is not even a moderate tolerance if you ask me (if we are talking about legit narcotic addictions, which I assume we are). That is very minor and the w/d is quite bearable. I know people who use only occasionally and do 30-60 mg of oxycodone at a time.
 
Actually the withdrawals from everyday use of 30 mg snorted oxy and and 10 iv morphine were pretty bad it really depends on the person it's not bad compared to the guy with a 200 mg oxy habit a day but still
