Opiate taper/eventual detox

Hi guys, new to posting here long time reading have a question I've posted before on a different account but needed to switch names.
I've been using black tar IV 3 years and I've detoxes 4 times total last time was 2 years ago and I haven't gone more than 24 hours without some.

Lately been trying to taper and fail cause end up going more and been searching for benzos to help. Well ended up getting benzos Valium some Xanax some klonopin and used that and weed (which I've smoked daily for 6 years) and managed to wait 14-16 hours first 1-2 days until doing a shot to get well .
After that it got easier day 3 tapering could wait 18-20 hours and been doing that but only cause I have benzos to help me wait that time out and I've noticed .1 shot feels better than .3 shot I've been doing for years this .1 feels better than I've felt any shot in 2 years.

Anyways my question is well theory is, people use long half life opiates to taper/detox methadon and bupe and they wait 24 between doses. Well if u do the same but with h which leaves quicker would that effective tapering ?? It's been like 6-7 days I've been doing this I've messed up on day 5 and did like .3 throughout the day .

In general I'm down from .4-.6 a day to .1-.2 a day. I also understand benzo addiction is worse and I used high doses the first few days tapering now I use less to deal with the 20 hour wait . Question is this even worth my time ? Has anyone tried this?

I also got 3 8 mg subuxone pills AN 415 red and subuxone strip 8 mg , also 10 vicodins and 120 mg codeine which I was thinking of taking to stretch out the time between taking a dose of blk cause isn't the point to at the very least have that out as much as possible? Anyways sorry for the rant reply to whatever you can please !!

I'm starting granite labor work next week I'm still tapering I'm down to being able to wait 18 hours and doing a .1 shot and waiting another 6 hours ends up being .1 consumed in a 24 hour period and with short half life I see it as progress but j still mess up and I have some Vicodin and subuxone an Kratom trying to figure out best taper method to the end !! Or anyone's experience my method of benzo / opi taper

use 1mg of suboxone to taper

add another 1mg if you aren't feeling better in an hour

wait 8-12 hours, re-dose for night-time if you have to

I would not "taper" with heroin.

I would "not" taper on heroin either and every time I tried it never worked but deep down I actually wanna quit for real and I got college I got physical labor work 6 days a week no time for playing around 1 mg subuxone although I do get time off randomly for 3 days at a time guess I can do that.
But it's been working and I know you gotta be patient but like I said my theory it's a short lasting opiate half life ... And I'm giving it time to leave like you would methadon or sub first week I needed .3 to get through 24 hours with 3 .1 shots, next week felt high doing .2 in 24 hour period with 2 separate .1 shots. Now hoping next week .1 in 24 hours 1 shot will be nice and thus every week it's leaving substantial more and more and I'm using less and less I just got an 8 ball of blk and gonna still have will power for control taper so I need advice other wise I just bought this giant chunk for no reason

Someone with legit tapering experience please reply How long do I taper and how do short half life opiate tapers work I only know plans for subuxone and I wanna make that last resort I wanna cold turkey rather cause that's how it's worked for me personally my personality can't have any crutch or help like subs even though I've only taken them once or twice barely felt them

There are threads in Other Drugs to help you taper off of heroin if this your plan. I can't say any information that will help because, let's face it, if you were able to taper off heroin in the manner you're asking for help with, you'd have already done it. And I would have too. Everyone would. We're not able to. Drugs like heroin over-activate the reward pathways.

Ya but WD subuxone are worse and also over activate . Ya I'm able to taper the first portion of the schedule I hypothetically randomly created that worked but now I'm stuck at the .1-.2 total 1 or 2 shots in a 24 hours period what's the next steps and how does short half life opiate taper work scientifically pharmacologically stuff like that man I'm no expert from doing 1 week taper lol
