Opiate Rage

Lately I've been so angered by my suitemates (they're douchebags) but to the point where I have to hold myself back from getting violent. What do you guys do to cope with opiate rage?
 
I get the same thing to the point where I like to be alone while on opiates. I get real mad and violence sometimes ensues
 
Shit happens to me sometimes on certain opiates too.... man i've pissed some friends off
 
It is an interesting process... It seems to happen to me in between the honeymoon stage and the ungodly tolerance stage. But that isn't a prerequisite. Usually, I'll try to take the bare minimum amount of opioids to get myself a decent buzz, in an effort to conserve drugs.

So, whenever I have to deal with other people, and those people ask questions or favors that could potentially "blow my buzz", I get very irritable with them.

I lived with my sister and her boyfriend for a year when I was in college, and I was using a decent amount of opiates. I had explosive fits of anger. Eventually, you just learn to that you are happier getting high by yourself... and that is usually what you do.
 
I use to think that mainly oxycontin(oxycodone) is what gave me this rage but I have found out that it happens with most other strong opiates I abuse.


At one point every little thing would seriously annoy me where I actually thought about quitting opes completely just because it became so un-enjoyable because of this. I just tell myself now that its the dope and to relax, just relax. I know how it is though, dope can seriously get people, myself included really pissy at times.
 
I just try not to hang around a lot of people. I find if Im with more than one or two other people, the irritability gets out of control. But one or two good friends and Im fine.

I completely agree with the oxycodone thing vs. hydrocodone. On percs I always get into a rage type of state. No real euphoria, just kinda out of body and angry. Now with hydros, it's complete euphoria and bliss everytime. Question to the OP, what opiate are you using?

Do you mean rage while high on opiates or rage when not having them/it?
Man, I'm happy as a meadow lark when I'm high on oxy. Nothing bothers me.
But if, for example, the next day I can't find any -- look out! I'll smack you down for saying "Hello"
 
Hell naw, I don't have that problem. But I also don't have a problem with nausea/puking with 'em either, as so many others seem to.

Ive noticed the irritability/rage tends to come around once tolerance gets higher. It also usually happens when someone is on a dose that didnt quite get them to where the wanna be. In other words, didnt get them as high as they want to be. Anyone who does something that could fuck with what little high they have will piss them off. Its even worse when your addicted and dont get high at all, just use to feel normal.

People who only use opiates on occasion or dont have a tolerence dont really get subjected to that same situation.
 
ya my friends and i get super irritated with each other when were on opis. its kinda like the irritation you get from the comedown on coke except no awesome fuzzy feeling all over your head and body.

Exactly.
 
The drug in question at the moment is oxycodone at 60mg. My tolerance has gone down significantly over the course of the year but is now skyrocketing back up. OC and heroin are the only two opiates that have caused this rage.
 
Opiate rage? Wtf... I've never EVER experienced this. Maybe when I'm withdrawaling, or coming down... But I've never gotten "rage" from being on ANY pk, including Oxycodone which is my pk of choice. Sometimes I get a little cranky if someone gets on my nerves, but that has nothing to do with the drug. Why the fuck would you keep dosing yourself if you got mad at everyone/everything? Doesn't make sense...
