Opiate/pyschedelic combinations

Reading trip reports on the net there seems to be very few detailing experiences with the combo of opiates and psychedelics. Why is this, do they not combine well, or indeed effect each other negatively? Or is is it a case of people using the two types of drugs just looking for different things from a drug experience?

i would guess the experiences arent very detailed because the tripper is so fucked up.
i would also assume that mostly opiate users would try this, to see if they like it kind of a thing/to stop from getting sick

I would have to think its because most psychedelic users don't really use opiates(not saying they don't). I feel like opiates dull the trip so I would only combine them on super rare ocassions. IMO its just not really worth it.

That's kinda what I thought. I have very limited experience of opiate use but I was wondering if the feeling of well being and "everything's right with the world" they give might keep a trip on an even keel and help to prevent a "bad" trip. Something along the lines of poppy seed tea taken before a reasonable mushroom dose.

I once did H whils on a candyflip... it comletely killed my trip...

but maybe a weaker opiate with a psych would be pleasant...

poppy pods & aMT are good, but agree that a strong opiate would overpower most pychs...

I recommend if you are going to use opiates while tripping you use the lowest dose as possible.
And if you have any handy use L-theanine, to lower some of the tenseness of your overly exaggerated emotions.

Opiates + psychedelics is made of win

But some find the opies dull the psychedelic experience. If you are looking for purely recreational effects it's hard to beat though, in my opinion.
