Hello all. I've been thinking about quitting for some time and after about a year and a half I have finally decided its time. I picked now because lately I've developed a good bit of depression and insomnia. Today was my last day of using Oxycodone IR 30s. To say goodbye I railed 90 mgs about 7 hours ago. I'm not exactly sure of my tolerance but my daily use is anywhere from 60-180 mgs. I grabbed some meds from around the house that sounded useful, as well as 8 Suboxone tabs. I need help putting together some of these to help ease the process so I can stick to it. I was thinking of picking up some Xanax tomorrow if that would be worth it? Right now I have Vyvanse, Desoxyn, Dexedrine, Naproxen, Hydrocodone, and the Suboxone. I was thinking the first 3 would be good for the lack of energy but i'm not sure. I don't have any experience with the Desoxyn, Dexedrine, Naproxen, or the Suboxone so i'm not sure what to expect. I think I have some Clondine and Propranolol somewhere around here. How well does Clondine suppress cold flashes? That is usually the first wd symptom I experience and it is most often awful. If anyone can offer assistance on the best mix of these that would be awesome, I have no idea which ones would work together/best. This is the first time I've ever had to kick something so I prepared for the worst, probably overkill. Thank you for your time.

Try taking one gram of vitamin C every hour and you'll GREATLY reduce your withdrawals.

And make sure your C is in the form of Calcium Ascorbate, and not ascorbic acid (it causes diarrhea)

Get a doctor to prescribe some Ambien for insomnia.
Don't take more than one per day, even if you only sleep a couple hours it is better than nothing.
I would also take what opiates you have left and come up with some kind of 7 day fast taper to let yourself down easier.

Going through about the same thing right now...yeah I hate the cold flashes too...horrible...today i am not wrapped completely in soaked blankets tho just a housecoat haha so improving. I dont have too much to say about the medication but i do know I tried dexadrine once for the anxiety during a wd and it heightened my anxiety soo much. I dont have acess to many meds right now but what has been helping is a couple extra strength advils every few hours, gravol to sleep and clonazapam throughout the day. Also Loperamide...It does seem to reallly help surprisingly. Not a high or anything but definitley makes the psychial stuff feel a lot better. I had to take 12 every 2 hours the first day even to just stop the problem its meant for lol...but then i started noticing a lot of relief from everything. I swear I felt a bit of the tummy warmth too...things like that not sure what that was but loperamide did help me. Oh and dont forget water...lots of water. Sorry this is all pretty basic info but its what im doing right now...and a lot of praying lol. Luckily I had nothing Ihad to do the first couple days..and amazingly i barely got restless legs...I almost always get them even just from missing a dose. Got them now..but the first two days I just layed there and tried to breathe didnt think about anything except getting through. Little harder now, Not so sick and Im thinking far too much think thats a big key...focus on getting better focus on anything but wanting..Dont overthink, Be happy about the time passed,Hold on to that readyness and the motivation that comes from it...Good luck..Keep updating :) xoxo

I think the kindly members of OD may be better suited to address this question...

If I had a bunch of ambien right now I'd be a very happy man, I have seroquel for insomnia but I haven't worked doc up to real medication yet.

What is your tolerance, I'm trying to figure mine out but I didn't monitor what I took the last 3 months so its up in the air.

Starting to freeze so I took naproxen and Clondine. I'm hoping that will maybe lessen the sweating when it starts. I figure ill start the sub tomorrow morning. How long can I take that before it takes hold? I don't want to switch one for the other.

It was a rough morning, I made myself wait to take the sub until 24 hours after the last oxy dose. It's been pretty smooth sailing since I started the sub, it held me over all day. I just took some lorazepam to help with sleep.

4 mg sub with 3 mg lorazepam up the nose. Very very pleasant, can't beat getting geeked up during the process.
