Opiate induced constipation, a worry?

So i take around 150mg codeine a day (phosphate 30mg tablets prescribed). Im starting to worry about the amount and also the constipation.

How much of a worry is it and how would i proceed if it is?

It's not a terribly high dose, i wouldn't worry. Just be sure to drink plenty of water and eat plenty of fiber, that should take care of any issues you might have at those doses.

May i add the dose is all at once, one time during the day.

Can this damage me longterm? Can the constipation damage me? This thing seems to be the only thing to help my disc pain!

You should be perfectly fine at that dose. If you find yourself getting constipated just try changing your diet or get some laxatives or stool softeners. It's probably not healthy to be constipated constantly but it's not going to cause you serious damage unless it gets to the point where you can't pass the stool and you get fecal impaction from waiting too long.
