I've been wondering for a little while now if someone could put into words the difference between the two 'blisses'. From the way I've previously heard them described, they sound quite similar, but something tells me thats just not right.
Opiates make one extremely 'happy', no? Obviously E does too, so how could the discrepency in feeling be explained? I know the easiest answer to my Q would be to get hooked up with some nice Opiates but thats just not feasable at the moment.

ive never tryed any Opiates, but i understamd the differance to be:- with opiates you seem to be more 'self' content, in a world of your own, dont give a fuck wot else is going on in the world.
where as the mdma high is very ppl orientated you feel 'empathy' towards others 'luv'd' up..
pls corect me if im wrong, anyone?

I tried sniffing Coke once, but the ice cubes got stuck in my nose. :(

Impulsive summed it up nicely. Opiates will make most people content just to sit hunched over on a couch for hours, and be having the time of their life while doing so. MDMA is more about outside stimuli. I'm guessing that you haven't tried one or the other or both, because the highs are very, very different. They both make you feel awesome, but in unique ways. Good question, though.

I know I've only got the one codeine experience, but based on that, "happy" is definitely not the word. "Content" maybe, but not "happy." Happy requires caring, involvement. I didn't care and I wasn't involved and that was juuuuust fiiiiine at the time.

Coitus ergo sum.

there is a really good basis to compare the two. opiate highs are like orgasms, a physical euphoria. mdma is mental, where you just feel happy in the mind, social acceptance, etc. opiates are much better =)

never had MDMA, but.....
OPIATES are the best "CLASS" of drugs in the UNIVERSE...they make one HAPPPY and CONTENt with just "everything"...you dont have to be up and dancing to have fun, you can just sit back and chill out...
also, from what ive heard, MDMA has a bad next day "hangover", so that is another drawback...
i pick OPIATES...

i are spectre: what??? MDMA gives a MAJOR physical buzz (heard of backrubs?) It's not just a mental thing!

Ya really can NOT compare the two...
OPIATES - an opiate can make you happy when you're sad, relaxed when you're stressed, it can give you energy when you're tired... it can kill pain (both emotional and physical) as well as a namube of other things - personally, I believe opiates are *THE* most dynamic drugs out there..
MDMA - it is definitly an experience, however, it doesn't really lend itself to that many applications outside of parties and self-exploration sessions... I could go to work blissed on opiates and have the most productive day of my life, but if I went rolling it would, well, not be as easy ..
BOTH offer euphoria, but it's a differn't type of euphoria...
EVERYONE will have their own opinion..
