Opiate equivalents?

And to add, 10mg morphine IV is equal to:
- 5mg diacetylmorphine IV
- 2mg hydromorphone IV
- 0,1mg fentanyl IV
- 100mg meperidine IV

oops...sorry for being human and making a fucking mistake. i guess you must have gotten F's in english "maths"? what the hell kind of word is that :)
thanks for correcting me htough, your right. 15 hydro or morph would be 10 oxy no the other way around

lol, people in other countries say maths, not math. At least here in the UK we do.

1mg Methadone To Codeine and Morphine (Oral)

Guys, look!

They say that 1mg methadone is equivalent to 100mg codeine. If that is the case, then 10mg morphine, since 30% of codeine is converted to morphine considering u take them all orally. Right?

So my question is, how can you justify saying that 10mg morphine is equal to 100mg methadone when they even say that 1mg methadone = 1mg morphine.

P.S. From experience I haven't had morphine, but I would say :

1mg methadone = 1.5mg oxy, maximum 2mg oxycodone.
That is DEFIANTLEY not equal (2mg oxycodone) to 100mg codeine.

I would take those 30mg pure codeine phosphate/sulfate (no caffeine), 3 of them (90mg) over even 5mg or fuck even 10mg of oxycodone. I find it WAY more sedating (the codeine, pure only; no caffeine like in Tylenol 3s and Tylenol 4s).

bro everybody knows thar methadone is stronger in general so look at whart your saying.... anyone wants OPIATE EQUIVALENTS PM ME!!!! all from personal experience from no tolerance to a grip.

Charts are not an accurate way to understand how you will react to a given dose. Some people are more or less sensitive to different substances. Personal experience is the best way to go.

the main thing why the calculators are so wrong is because most people dont put nothing into the cross tolerance option, if your taking a narcotic ex. morphine, you'll have a cross tolerance to oxy

yeah 10mg of dilaudid is 1000mgs of codeine.

o rly? Ld50 of codeine is 800mg...

but I know plently of people, myself included, who take 10 or 12mgof dilaudid and dont die.

What makes you think that an equivalent dose of codeine and hydromorphone will both kill you? Just because codeines is 800 (which Id argue) does not mean any equivalent dose of another opiate will also be lethal. LD50's are different for every drug. That should be common sense.

sixpartseven you agree with why calculators are wrong most of the time from my post above?

oh yeah, absolutely.

I missed that before, but that is a good point.

And on top of that, the problem is, its impossible to know what percentage you should enter for the cross tolerance. 25% is a good number, but its not always correct, thats why calculators should be used to get round-a-bout doses, and not be taken as gospel.

the only thing i use calculators for is to find what dose of x is equal to y so when i switch from opiates i tell my doctor what dose is equipotent
btw logging in as offline bah i hate i had a ? to pm but i forgot, dam benzos
