Opiate cross tolerances

Lately after my surgery, I've been taking the Vicodin (lortab, aka hydrocodone 5&10's) that I was prescribed quite frequently, between 5-20MG a day for about 2 weeks. After I ran out, I stopped for about a week but last weekend I acquired about 25MG from a friend, took them and had a blast.
My question is, I'll be getting some oxycodone today (percoset) and I was wondering if I will hav a tolerance to those from all my vicodin use in the past weeks. What's a good dose to take of oxycodone for a great high btw?

Yep, there is significant cross tolerance with opiates.
I think you'd need at least 20 mg oxy...maybe start there and work up to 40 mg as necessary.

well if it was last weekend there shouldnt be TO much tolerance,just do like miss 'nymph said .
start with 20mg of oxycodone and see how it likes ya

taking 20 vics in a single day is consuming *alot* of tylenol. i hope to god you weren't drinking while doing this...

My apologies for the misconseption, I meant 5-20 MGs, not 5-20 pills alone. lol
With this new understanding, what would be a good dose of oxycodone to use now?

If it was oxycontin, then 20mg would be ok, but maybe 15mg through percoset. But if you want a great high, take alot more.
