Ok so I am a huge hypochondriac, but please respect the thread as srs. I was really constipated from my pain medication, i just was able to go to the bathroom finally after a battle on the toilet for a while. I cant believe what i passed through my intestines and anus! As i said it was a battle. This was about 30 minutes ago. My question is, would i have know by now if i did any damage to my self from the battle on the toilet? Like how elvis died? As i write this it sounds crazy, but i have severe health anxiety and am very panicky right now. Thanks guys.

i was getting severely constipated from opiates, and id get such stomach aches that id be debilitated because of it. One thing has savaed my life, Fleet Enemas, they completely clean me out. and take less than 5 minutes. u have to get over the social stigma and go for it, ull call it a miracle in no time

I would monitor your stool for any blood. I would also recommend taking a laxative as needed like Dulcolax, like maybe 5 mg once every couple of days if you aren't having regular bowel movements.

Percojerk, you more than likely didn't do any damage. Anyone that has done opiates for any length of time has experienced something similar. Often when it's very large stool, there's a little tearing of the anus. Don't be alarmed if a small amount of blood is present. Something you can do to prevent this from reoccurring is a table spoon of mineral oil daily. Also fiber supplements or stool softener maintenance can be beneficial.

magnesium citrate will clean you out within 24 hours. it comes in a little glass bottle from the grocery store or drug store and has a very sour taste but you have to drink all or most of the bottle. after that you've kinda reset your bowels so try to do what you can to prevent it from happening again. increase your daily fiber intake and drink a lot of water.

Its out of you now and your off the toilet typing your story into bluelight. You'll live Elvis died on the crapper because he was straining so hard and his heart gave out. Instead of pushing so hard next time take some miralax everyday that you take opiates to add water to the stool so it is softer. If this is not enough add a stimulant laxative such as sennosides (senokot, senna etc.) or bisacodyl (duculax, carters little pills etc.) this should work for you just read the label and use the maximum dose. Best not to take stims daily though they are good at causing irritable bowel and ulcers with extended use along with laxative addiction(cant poop without them). Try eating lots of veggies, fruit, prunes and plenty of water(1 gallon) daily. Don't take fibre supplements or Metamucil that will cause you to have to push out a turd so big you'll discover what giving birth is like. Veggies and fruit are enough fibre maybe a fibre bar a day or something but not too much or it will make things worse.

This. My quality of life improved 10 times once I discovered the miracle of miralax.

Thanks uys for responding, i guess I am ok, I just am a severe hypochondriac and opiates really flare my ocd and anxiety up. I need to and will be proactive with ways to help combat opiate constipation.

liquid magnesium indeed, and fiber sometimes helps. laxatives, be careful as the body can become used to them. at least every other day. i had this issue for some time. :)
in the past i used to use crack for relief 8(, i wouldn't recommend that.

Haha smoky you and your crack ;)
your stories really crack me up haha get it?

I supose its all the baby laxative in cocaine these days. But I guess that wouldn't be present so much in crack mmhh weird mabye its the stimulant effect.

To the OP take my advice and use miralax its safe to take daily and change up your diet while your on opiates. But I know how hard that can be when your buzzing on opiates and have that sweet tooth. Fruit and frozen yogurt is a good substitute for candy and ice cream though;)

If things get really bad take the senokot( natural sennosides ) if that doesn't work try the Max dose of ducolax (bisacodyl). These two should work in combination with miralax also known as lax a day, clear lax etc. (these are polythene glycol products that come in a powder you mix in a drink etc.)

If this all fails because some serious shit is stuck in you then try the magnesium drink its called citro mag in most stores but it clears everything out of your bowels for when you have surgery. If this doesn't work then its hospital time. Also don't be so anxious about it I find that makes things worse. The chances of what happened to Elvis happening to you in this day and age are slim. Constipation is hardly ever dangerous we have so many ways to treat it. If it goes for over 3-5 days and no laxatives work then you go to the hospital BEFORE the extreme pain comes on or you blow a blood vessel pushing a massive turd out.
