Okay so I need an operation soon but first comes my MRI Scan. I'm unsure whether I'll be blood tested.

Last time I did weed 20th December

Last time I did MDMA/MDA, first couple days of December or last days of Nov, cant remember.

I also did a couple lines of cocaine and a couple lines of mephedrone. MDMA/MDA bomb doses were eyeballed not weighed so I couldnt say how much I took, but I'd imagine no more than 200mg as a gram was split between 4 people, and one of my mates kept some.

Is any of this going to show on a scan or blood test? I'm unsure whether they actually have to test the blood specifically for the drugs, or whether it'll show up or general testing. If so, how long will it take to get out of my system? My scan is about a week from now.

Cheers guys, shitting it !

Well, even if they find something, they can't report it. Doctor patient confidentiality ;)

But MDMA usually only stays detectable in your system for 48 hours, give or take. Marijuana... yeah, they'd test positive for it probably. You might be in the clear, but there's definitely a chance.

It will be a blood test, not a drug test. Even if these would test positive, I doubt they will give false positives for whatever your operation blood tests are looking for.

A little more info (your location, what operation, why you are being tested) would help us give you a little more advise, but I doubt you have anything to worry about :)

A little more info would also be helpful but I don't think it would change anything as FlippingTop said. I had an MRI of my lower back recently and drug use was not even asked about. And a blood test, I doubt they would test for drugs, since I've had several for medical reasons and that also wasn't something they wasted money testing for. So, my guess is definitely no worries for an MRI, and very doubtful you have anything to worry about if blood tested.

MRI scan on pelvic area. Got a problem with my coccyx, got smashed up in a bar brawl on holiday with my mates, fell on a concrete curb ass first when I got sparked.

It's caused some other problems and I need to get cut up so.

Location UK, Essex. Private hospital (cheers dad)

you are good...there is no reason for them to test you for drugs and it wouldnt just show up in a normal blood test.

another note: a lot of ppl are scared to talk to their doctors about abusing drugs, but IMO they are the best ppl to talk to. why would you lie to a doctor about what drugs you do, it can only complicate things in the end....they will give you honest and professional opinions and can't get you in trouble.

Lovely jubbly. I'd rather my GP didn't know. If I ever feel like I'm starting to get problems with my usage, then maybe I'd consider. But I don't want anybody other than my closest friends knowing what I do on the weekend to be honest.

I work in medical imaging and an MRI cannot show drug usage unless the drug has altered the anatomical structure of the body part being scanned. You are safe since they are scanning your coccyx.

And even if a mass or lesion is seen on a medical imaging study (such as a brain lesion), it cannot be traced to drug usage specifically.

Really depends on what type of blood works they do and if they do a tox screen or not? I cant see them doing a drug screen for an non invasive operation
