Man, it would be so sweet to meet you guys...
It's so rare that I meet such a large group of people with such open minds. If it's possible, count me in! I'm not trying to be a praise session here, but every time I read something here it's another breath of fresh air from this crowded little closet I call my world. Thanks to everyone who ever posted a poem, even if you don't see a reply, I still read most of them, and no matter how much anyone may think lowly of their own work, I never have a problem understanding the concept of any of it, so you all must be doing something right, eh? Ciao.

ummmm... December? East Coast or San Francisco? Are we going to go out dancing after? Especially if it's at the top of the San Angelos megalopolis?
You all know I love to dance too.
My schedule is pretty lax, but the rest of you all might want to schedule something around your regular time tables.

looking through old words stuff and i found this...damnit, whatever happened to our grand poetry convention on top of...oh i don't know, the Himalayaen Mountains or something equally magistic and inspiring?
may i recommend seattle. that's a wonderful idea. most most most wonderful...
seattle, anytime between june and september is one of the most beautiful places you will ever see.
if outdoors is what one would want...there are beautiful green parks, beaches (campfires!) etc. etc.
it's my hometown, i know it, and most of the state like the back of my hand. i highly recommend it.
san franciso would be a great great place too. and dammit it must be done in summer.
i'm very into this idea.

BLUELIGHT POETS RAWK MY WORLD

I'm all up for Seattle. I also recommend sometime in June, as it will give the students on the board time to finish their finals and what not for that semester and maybe even save up some money for the travel. We could also get group rates at whatever hotel/motel we'll be staying. I actually know of a FANTASTIC hotel there, with excellent service...simply EXCELLENT service, and very reasonable (65 dollars a room, that can easily be shared by two/three people) in the Seatac area, about 20 minutes from downtown. Which is perfect realizing the fantastic public transport system of the city.
Ahhhhhhh............this is going to be swwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeetttttttttt.
Let's extend the meetup to Bluelight Artists, Poets, Performing Artists and Musicians as well?

and yes, the public transportation system really can get you damn near anywhere, granted it's not fast, but neither is driving anymore...
i can't guarantee great weather in june though, i'll say that now. sometimes our june's are in the 70's and sunny. sometimes they're in the 50's and rainy...if you want to guarantee sun, i'd recommend early august, before everyone has to go back to school...but june can be a wonderful month, everything will be in full bloom.
if this is going to happen, let's do it right.

seattle may just happen for me.....i have no idea when i will be there. but definetly sometime this summer....maybe if we can figure out where/when we want to have this before i make my summer plans, then my trip can be arranged appropriatly
****and another thing....i have not read(as far as i can remember) anything that was not of some quality and thought provoking, but i understand the intimidatation factor... i have only read once...sooo scary. it does give another aspect of reality-infusion to your writing.i think that(even though i don't *know* all of you, it will be a very safe supportive environment...i am exited about it...
