Open air pill scene in the US?

i'm not saying it's impossible, especially not with the easier stuff like vicodin, but there's nobody standing on specific corners during certain hours slinging oc. i think that's the type of market or scene people are hoping for in this thread, and based on my experience being in that neighborhood hundreds (if not thousands) of times it does not exist here in any type of obvious fashion.

That's what I thought and figured. Wasn't expecting it. But I do see it's a bit more prevalent than any other neighborhood notorious for drugs I have heard of. Possibly in Florida, since they give out pills there like candy, but your better off shelling out the few hundred to get it "legit" from the "pain clinics" instead of buying off the streets down there. I seen a documentary where they set up stings outside the clinics and many people were willing to sell some pills to make a quick buck. But besides that, I also read about some busts in that SF district, how they are cracking down, and a lot of people were getting busted with OC's and a variety of other pharms, aside from crack, meth and tar.
 
One of my best buds lives in San Fran at the moment and he says there is a "pill hill" that he scores OC and bupes in almost daily. I know another girl who went to the Art Institute of San Francisco, which is in or right by the bad neighborhood I think we're talking about and she said the same thing. Anyway, I've been to San Fran and but I was talking to my buddy about it recently and it would be pretty crazy if both these people, who don't know each other, lied about the same thing and they both called it pill hill. I know in some cities you go to certain places/streets for certain things but if it doesn't work like that in san fran I'd assume it'd be hard to tell where a pill district would be unless you were copping in the area a lot. Not trying to argue here just relaying what I've heard.
Yeah Vanguard, I like a lot of their shows and not just the drug related ones. San Fran is great too
 
hmmm... there is definitely a "pill hill" in oakland (east bay, technically not san francisco) but it's not really named that because of an open air market. there's also a fairly infamous "hippie hill" in sf where all sorts of activity goes on, but it's located in a park, not in the hood.

once i get off crutches i'm going to investigate this further and report back if i find anything :)

Agreed. I just found CurrentTV a few months ago, and it is excellent television. I love the docs, the shows, everything about the channel. Just perfect television for today's day and age.

Re: The Chicago Pill scene, it's all who you know. I've never been offered anything in the open air markets, but I'm sure it is available.

Places like right outside the methadone clinics could be considered open-air drug markets in my area. If one were to indulge, anything from the liquid 'done people get from the clinic, to pills, to hard drugs can be found. It's a pretty common thing going all around the US from what I hear though. There's also a shopping strip where you can get anything from as well. Fairly easy to spot the dealers..and the undercovers;)

Ya know, I've heard people say things like that before too, but i've never believed it.. It doesn't make any logical sense to me. The things that the dope is being cut with isn't causing any chemical or physical reaction to take place. Nothing is actually changing the dope in any way. It's just getting mixed with some other kind of powder..

But yeah, I've had people before tell me, as they were selling me some raw dope, that i should cut it up for, add some dormin or sleepinol (generic diphenhydramine, what they use in my area), before i do it to "activate" the dope.. And I just kinda nodded and was like "sure.." and they gave me a couple caps of diphenhydramine, but i just went home and banged it up as is, and it was fine. I remember thinking "activate it.. the fuck are they talkin about? You don't have to activate dope.. It's already dope."

So the only thing that i can think of is that for some people whatever the dope is cut with can have an additional effect, like you said dude used oxy to cut with, though that surprises me i'm sure it's been done before, that would make it stronger, but even something like diphenhydramine can increase the effects of the dope for some people. but until i see some concrete evidence on a change taking place when the dope is cut, or something, i don't believe any of that crazy stuff people say about it being hard to cut, or the cut doing anything other that watering the shit down
 
^^ diphenhydramine doesnt "activate" dope

but it does potentiate it

ur guy may mean that u need the diphenhydramine to actually feel the dope cuz it may not be very potent

but regardless Diacetylmorphine is active with or without other stuff present
 
Sorry to back up to the last page, but does anyone know if the Florida scene is still the same as it was in "oxy express"? They said the rx tracking system won't be ready until the end of 2010. Also are there any other states that allow people to take advantage of this loophole? Thanks in advance.
 
This post is prolly a little late but I'm a new member a didn't have a chance to post on the topic until now.

There is indeed an "open air pill market" in. SF. Not only does it exist but it is rampant and in full swing. It's such large scale that the police cant stop it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the biggest open air market in the u.s. Or bigger than any in Canada.

How do I know this for certain? Not a friend told me or a he said she said... I have personally been there myself several times as I am a resident of the greater sf bay area home of the grapes. You can find any opiate at more than a more than reasonable price. Between a 4 block radiouse u can't walk more than a few feet without someone saying OC 80s or cheeba. There are people constantly walking or driving up to get Thier daily fix from a local dealer. Most buyers and suppliers are not even sf residents just locals of the bay area.

How does this open air market continue to exist? Well it's just simply to big to stop. Police activity is constant and so are arrests but local PD can only hit the tip of the ice burg. Despite several major crackdowns or major efforts to end things once and for all it's just to big. Thousands of junkies make there way up on the hill daily. A dealer can make a couple grand in just a couple hours. But don't get any ideas although anyone can buy not anyone can sell. Selling narcotics on the hill takes approval from the others doing so.. Turf wars and such. There are usually 5-10 dealers a corner with about 12 corners then there are the other dealers between corners and or walking around.

It's a very interesting thing going on Thier in SF I would think there would be more posted on the net but there is not much, most people up there arnt the computer type I guess.

There are open-air pill markets, as well as weed, crack, heroin and even prostitutes, in two specific housing projects in the rather small city of Portsmouth, Ohio.

With a population of ~20,000 Portsmouth, Ohio (where I presently live) has been dubbed the "Oxycontin Capital of the Universe", is on the top 10 list for places watched by the DEA for prescription drug abuse, and has been featured on a special edition of Intervention called "Hillbilly Heroin."

this thread was like a blast from the past,

back in January 2010 i still hadnt hit up South Dallas, crazy, for awhile i was making trips out there every day, glad thats over though, although id be lieing if i said i didnt miss it at times
 
this thread is from a time before we decided not to allow discussion of open air markets. We have since decided not to allow them because it leads to sourcing as I have seen in one of the above posts..
