Walking through an L.A. trap spot for H as a young woman? Have you even envisioned this? People will think you're a whore (not that that's a bad thing). And will expect more from you than money and may get pushy (which is a bad thing)
If its that urgent, just drive thru, ask around without getting out car.
 
get a job as a nurse or private duty aide and steal from your patients. i find this reprehensible however hence sending the husband to the city. Better him to be killed than compromise my morals. junkie ethics
 
Don't give anybody any money to "go get it" or whatever. Also, don't let anyone see or know how much cash you have. What's in your pocket is nobody's business. Double check what you're given. People will try to short you or pull the switcheroo or whatever. Be prepared to walk away if someone is dicking you around.

It's really a pain in the ass imo.

^ Yeah, I hate to agree with the crowd, but they're right. Even in times of deep boredom and desperation, I've never gone into the areas of Chicago known for that type of shit. I'm a girl in my early-twenties - I'm not gonna take my chances. And the fact that you are considering going for it is honestly a warning sign in-and-of itself. Do you even know how to go about buying drugs off the street? I sure as hell don't, and it'll take about half-of-a-second for the dealers to realize that you don't know what you're doing.

In short, don't risk it. It's really not worth it.
 
I missed the part where you said you were looking for pills. I'd say you really need a connect for that because it's not likely street dealers/middlemen deal with pills. Mostly heroin and crack. You need to find some fellow users who can steer you in the right direction.
 
As a Los Angeles native, I cannot emphasize enough how dangerous it is to venture into street corners looking for drugs, especially downtown. I've heard of people being held up at gun point during buys even on the westside. People are desperate and willing to do anything it takes for a quick buck. What could happen, in which case you are actually screwed, is that the exchange occurs and THEN you are jumped. The dealer now has the product and money, and you can't really go tell anyone that someone stole your drugs.

your next best bet is to go with a friend who knows the spot and is experienced
 
Find a female sex worker and ask her to help you. Regardless of whether you are male or female, this is absolutely the way to do it in a new city without getting hurt. It's a mutually-beneficial situation, as nearly any girl's going to want to earn money helping you get drugs instead of having sex with some strange man. There will just be a premium you'll have to be ready to pay.

That's an decent idea. Just tell the girl you'll split the drugs with her, or give her a portion or whatever. She might be fun as hell to get high with :) However......let's not assume a woman can't be just as violent/evil to you though. Honestly, just make some legitimate friends and I guarantee you'll quickly find someone who at least knows where to get percocets...it's everywhere and everyone does it. You shouldn't need to go to a shady part of town for that, pharms are for the middle class :P
