Opioids Opana ER not working, suggestions for alternatives PLEASE!!!

I suffer from daily, severe chronic pain. I'm sure this is not the first nor the last time you will here this but I am on 20mg opana ER X2 day. I take the ir 5mg 3X day and my pain has worsened incredibly, since the switch to the new formulation my pain is literally driving me over the edge. I have been missing work regularly which I have NEVER had to do in the past. I have heard exalgo sucks and Oxy and hydro don't work for me so I feel like I am shit out of luck. Does anyone know if the generic 15mg opana ER Works? I just don't know what to do and don't feel like being a lab rat anymore, my pain was well controlled now I can barely move most days. F$&@ endo. My dr doesn't take insurance so it costs $150 every time I see him so I need to know what I going to try next beforehand. Anyone with any advice or if you have been in a similar situation PLEASE I desperately will consider any suggestions. Thank you
 
Oxy doesn't work for you? I always found that to work head over heals better than every other opioid...I take Exalgo and can attest to it sucking....It makes me tired as hell and works decent....Oxycodone didn't sedate and was really strong pain killing wise. Maybe try Methadone? I wouldn't go that far yet that shit is bad....maybe you should try Exalgo though? Who knows...all I know is that my doc put me on 8mg and I couldn't move because I was in so much pain so make sure you at least start at 12 if not 16...I take 16 once a day and it barely works.
 
Yeah it sounds like I am shit out of luck. Opana is so much stronger than oxycodone I would have to take at least twice the dose for it to be equivalent, but even then it just does not work for my pain. I feel like being on opana so long screwed me and my tolerance is forever going to be sky high to the point where no other opiate is going to help me. I am at my wits end at this point. And you confirmed what I heard, that exalgo sucks so no point in going from something shitty to something shittier. Things are looking pretty bleak
