You have absolutely no idea. When my best friend overdosed and we called 911, no one, and I mean no one, not the police, not the narcotics agent, and not even the paramedics knew about opana. "You mean OxyContin?" NO NOT OXYCONTIN, OPANA!
 
I'm glad the media and law enforcement agencies know very little about Opana. It's the only drug that helps my back pain and I would hate for them to have to reformulate like the oc's. Also I don't have to jump through tons of hoops to get it. Endo did their homework on the time release to make it less abusable eventhough it can be abused. I just hope some highschool kids don't die on it and ruin it for people who actually need it.

Yeah, ive mentioned it to some people, even my cousin thats an E.R. doctor. I asked him one night about it & he didnt know what I was talking about, LoL! I was like, never mind...........

Yea whenever I go to the Er and they ask me what meds I am on when I say Opana they're always like WTF is that!

HaHa.........I never thought doctors wouldnt know what certain drugs are but I guess they are too busy sitting around counting their money instead of learning what new meds are out there that could possibly help people.
 
As for this drug oxymorphone not being in the media, people should know the old movie drug store cowboy was about mainly people robbing pharmacies for "blues"" which was the name for numorph (oxymorphone ir) back in the day. The high was so intense and the drug was so easy to abuse that the fda outlawed its sale until the new formulation of oxymorphone OPANA popped up out of no where. I guess the government was lobbied by pharmaceutical companies who wanted a piece of the pie that the cash cow oxycodone has been eating up
another little fact, the liver metabolism of hydrocodone produces hydromorphone (dilaudid) while oxycodone breaks down in part to oxymorphone hepatically.
Right now 8 40mg opana er and 1 100mcg/hr fentanyl patch are going to be here d
