Only man is fit to be God.

There is no higher form of intelligent life as far as we cantell with any confidence.

Man has already proven that he can produce better laws thanany of the Gods so to want to have man led by a God with less moral values wouldbe like us electing Satan.

We are a part of the animal kingdom. In this kingdom, allanimals look to their own kind for guidance and the best rules for them to livetheir lives by. These they learn from instincts.

Man seeks the same best rules to live fife by and not onlyuses his instincts and feelings, he also uses his intellect.

Religions would have us emulate some absentee Gods whileknowing that they are less moral and intelligent in their laws than man. Thatis why religions tend to not try to have holy laws put into our societies. Theyare way too draconian.

If all other animals emulate their fittest as God, in thesense of the best rules for life, then why do some humans want to follow whatcan only be called an alien God?

Humans should rule over humans. No alien God should ever belet to rule over us even if one did show up.

Do you agree and if not, why not?

Correct.

The promise of revelation is that when the need arises we will elect ourselves a new Jesus or God. That is the promise of the return of God but it is up to man to make it so.

Jesus asked, have ye forgotten that ye are Gods and children of the most hi.

I have not.

I'm not sure if it is more arrogant then the many religions that expect the world to acknowledge that only they have the ear of the onetruegod.

But the whole topic makes the assumption that a god of some sort does exist. For me, I don't think that god is a human or should be because I don't believe that it actually exists. There is the presupposition that humans need to be ruled, which, again, is a concept of whose truth I doubt. It is through fear and distrust of our 'sinful' nature that we abscond from responsibility and hand our judgements over to both human ruler and gods without realising that this abstention from decision-making is simply a facet of the same innate rationale.

If God just means laws and rules to live by, and that is all God can be unless he shows up, then you are already being ruled by a man. All the laws you follow that are external to you have been created by men. Men are the God we all follow already and as stated, the rules we made are superior to what the Gods on offer have.

See how we have decided what God wills.

There's the possibility that god is a life form we simply are unable to perceive. He seems to be someone who has no problem stacking the game to your advantage so long as you can't turn around and use it as evidence. Deniability is a requirement for some reason. Probably improves our chances.
 
As a Mormon , although inactive , we believe "As man is, God once was, as God is, man may become" I.E. Eternal Progression--- if you stay on the path of growth, you will one day become a God, and run your own planet and everything. Nice, its good to be Mormon

There are many possible scenarios and we will never know the reality of God unless he pops up.

With the plethora of Gods on offer, we can be quite sure that all are lying about their Gods except perhaps one.

But if you check the morality of that one, any moral man will reject that God if he is a miracle working God.

There is that as well as the fact that our morality has put the morality of the Gods on offer to shame.

Yet stupid and immoral religionists still follow Gods with satanic morals.

The root cause for that immorality is literal reading of myths.

Wishful thinking is nice but when one believes a wish will come true when all you have is the words of men, then one can be called a fool.

This is a good analogy of how your religion began as well as all others. Except mine of course.
Gnostic Christians recognize the value of all myths and the evils of reading myths literally. It causes delusions like yours.

God is a human invention and there's no point in comparing ourselves to the animal kingdom or what have you. We are a specific species among the ape family that evolved a complicated mind, and that mind in turn evolved the need for a coping mechanism to give over survival stress, trauma, and bad things to. Hence, God.

There's probably a higher power that's greater than us, but includes us, as some kind of unified field. It's mostly a mystery to me though and I care not to define it anymore, let alone decide who or what is more qualified to rule the known universe. The OP is pretty colonial in its proportions.
 
God created man in his own image. But the refiner needs to keep the gold in the fire burning away the dross until he can see his own reflection from it. Hence the trials and tribulations of life. Stay on the path, mormon or not, and the dross will burn but the gold won't evaporate from too much heat. Or don't, it's up to you.

I'm afraid not, even if God were a human invention (is) you'd still have to account for His presence as such. There are thousands of Christians, some willing to be beheaded just for gambling on an afterlife. God is never good or bad, God just IS. This is why He was built to avoid detection of human language. He is the light that surrounds you even though it's dark. The contract of God is a humble one. It is very rare that people follow through on that contract, but that is the nature of God, or life, or human nature...Whatever, fuck it, we'll just clump all tensions together and call it Monad and then give it blind authority with the availability of Free Will in belief.

To me it's brilliant but that's just my opinion.

I do not know what you mean by colonial but what you said before that matches my beliefs well and my apotheosis proved it to my satisfaction.

Science may be catching up to what you and I believe.
