One Week @ midnight!!

Hi all :) I can't believe a made it! I think I have a small amout of residule withdrawal that comes and goes. When will that go away? What can I expect with paws? And cravings?? I feel ok now but the withdrawal icky feeling came for about 30 or 45 minutes then left. And I have no apatite at all yet. I need to feel good to be able to get through school. I want to know what to expect and how long. I just actually really want to be happy again! Not false fake heroin happy but spiritually and emotionally happy!! Can anyone help with my questions and some advice please? I luv you guys here!! <3;)<3
 
Well I made past midnight. I have one week now! Hey can anyone answer any of my questions above? Please. :)
 
It really depends on what you were taking, for how long, etc...but you should be pretty much done with the physical withdrawals. I'm on day 6 myself, and I feel ok physically. PAWS-wise, you'll more than likely feel run-down and tired, lack of motivation, lack of energy, lack of interest in things normally interesting to you, lack of concentration, trouble sleeping. I'm still feeling all of the above, but it gets better every day. Just force yourself to get up and stay busy. Clean the house, go for a walk, go to the gym, get engaged in something/someone, and keep a strong support system, and you'll be clean and feeling great in no time!
 
I was using heroin a couple bags a day. I've been an opiate addict for 15 years on and off. This last relapse only lasted 3 4 weeks. I snorted it always.
 
Nice work again.. The thing with PAWS is that they get recharged with each relapse.. your relapse wasn't long but it will have definitely kicked back in the PAWS.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-acute-withdrawal_syndrome, I believe it is your uncousciouse brain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limbic_system http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothalamus http://www.neuroanatomy.wisc.edu/coursebook/neuro2(2).pdf) using all those wepons at different times to use.. if you look at all your acute withdrawal symptoms, it controls them, now it has switched tactics and is trying a different approach, you will most likely find all your PAWS symptoms or future symptoms under its control including emotional response, it can be very powerful to understand that it will hype up all the emotional responses to what you are or have experienced so please remember to take some time to realize that because you once stepped on an ant (or whatever you may have done it doesn't warrant crying for six hours, thinking of yourself as the devil, OR USING!!, take a look at what you are feeling compared to what you are remembering and make sure it makes sense.. IN OTHER WORDS IT WILL PROBABLY FEEL LIKE IT IS MAKING TOTAL SENSE BUT UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION YOU WILL BE THINKING A LITTLE NUTS, just trying to push you back to using.. ha ignore that noise!!=D) trying to get you to use.. remember it feeding you lies based on actual things that happened to try and manipulate you into using.. your doing great.. these get rapidly better.. can last for a while. You got this, get some support.. <3

EDIT: meetings and steps help many people with this as the delusion seems real.. remember to take a second look at all emotions and deem if they are proper of INFLATED OWL DUNG..
 
Never sick thanks for all the links. I'm on my way to a meeting now. Had a horrible craving again today about an hour ago. Omg. I have a long road to go
 
Hey you are doing great.. stay in today .. as the buddha said Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

If you dwell on the past it may cause guilt and anger etc, emotional triggers cause relapses and make life less attractive, and if you dream of the future you can experience apprehension, fear, anxiety, etc.. best just take it "one day at a time, one minute at a time, for triggers try thinking of how the drug makes you feel the other 98% of the time, yea like waiting sick for the millionth time.. thats the reality of addiction.. it takes a snapshot what happens when you play the movie.. you're doing great way to hit a meeting:)

Just remember how miserable you were and see that it's been replaced with mental stability, happiness, and a BRIGHT FUTURE. None of which can be had by someone who's using. EVERY day you will feel better and better!

I've been clean and sober nine months until last night. I spent 18 days in lock up so i had extra money needless to say. Then when it was time for my sponsor to pick me up and take me to a meeting i slipped out and went to the bar. I hope he forgives me and takes me back.
