One time psychedelic casualty?

Ok I heard few stories about people going to mental ward after one dose of LSD or shrooms. Some of the comments here sound frightening: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/55505 . I also found this "Joan Hemingway, Syd Barrett of the music Pink Floyd, and Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac. They all suffered from mental illness as a direct result of having had their drinks laced with LSD, unbeknownst to them. As a result of having a "bad trip", for the rest of their lives they lived with schizophrenia and mental illness." I know that a big dose of psychedelics can make problems but a man I know said that he knows a man who was given a small dose of LSD on the skin and he acted strange for years. This man also said that he knows a lot of people in mental institutions after shrooms use. And what about the dramamine-is a moderate dramamine dose safer for the brain than a moderate LSD or shrooms dose. Are the shrooms safer than LSD? Thanks in advance.

If you consider natural safer then ya the booms would be safer. But really they are both powerful drugs and effect everyone differently. Some people are fine. Some people completely freak out. Its all about mind mood and setting when you take them. But LSD is known to trigger mental disorders in people who are more prone to get them.

its about preparation man. obviously if your takings large amounts of doses everyday like syd you can run into problems especially with underlying mental cases.

An unprepared person jumping into a large dose of psychedelics is asking for it, but just as you can have years of affect from a bad trip, a good trip can do the same.
