27M, generally healthy, in good shape, on prescribed methylphenidate ER 20 mg for ADHD. One night only: shared roughly half a gram of coke with another person (so my amount was less), started drinking Sunday evening and kept going until around 4 pm Monday. Stopped the coke at 3 am Monday. Heavy alcohol the whole time, so almost certainly made cocaethylene.
Crash was rough. First few days had bad anxiety waves (chest tightness, hard to be around people, lasted most of the day). That has mostly eased. What’s left is a daytime flatness/anhedonia — low motivation, nothing feels interesting (videos, games, normal stuff), mornings are better than last week but still not great, then a “hole” until about 4:30–5 pm when things lighten up and I can actually banter and function better at work. Evenings have been the most normal part.
I’m on day 12. Still working full shifts (lots of walking), staying sober except one hit of a pen that gave me anxiety so I stopped that. Sleep has been choppy. Basic physical function is fine (driving, working, etc.), just the reward/motivation side feels offline during the day.
Has anyone else had a single session (especially with a lot of alcohol) drag the flat mood out this long? How long did the daytime anhedonia take to clear for you? Did it just keep getting lighter until it was gone, or was there a clearer switch?
