One man killed, one busted for drugs after car drives through Illinois home

A 63-year-old woman's car went crashing through a neighbor's house on Saturday – killing one man while exposing the large marijuana operation of another, authorities said.

Zachary Isenberg, 28, died after the car went crashing through his house and killed him, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The accident was due to mechanical problems in the 1995 Mercury Grand, according to the newspaper. But for Isenberg's roommate, Thomas J. Micucci, 27, his problems were just beginning.

As he was grieving the sudden loss of his friend and roommate, cops went through the house to see if there were more victims – and instead found a large stash of drugs.

Fire crews broke down a locked door and found about 30 marijuana plants, the Chicago Tribune reported. They were being raised with grow lights and a watering system, cops said.

yes old ppl should have to re-take the driving test for sure...that is by far some shitty luck tho
 
Mechanical problems my ass. Even if the brakes magically stopped working and somehow at the same time the accelerator gets stuck, a driver should be able to kill the engine and steer the car away from someone's house. Old lady kills a guy and they're more worried about his roommate's drugs than why she still had her license.
 
Yea that is so fucked up. His roomie dies and he gets his grow op discovered and goes to jail and possibly prison. And who the fuck when something goes wrong with their car steers it towards a fucking house stupid old bitch.
 
I see a lot of anger toward the old woman, but I wonder if you all would feel that way if no weed-growing "operation" had been discovered, if the woman wasn't old, was a man, etc.
I think the anger should be directed toward the political policies that make weed illegal. That is the real source of the problem.
 
I hate old people who drive, not all of them of course, but there are so many who just get in the way, drive insanely slow and hold up traffic dangerously. I think this is why people direct their anger towards the old woman lol. Even if there were no injuries or bullshit growop bust I'd still feel the same; fuck even going into a grocery store the old people will get in the way and move so slowly that i could ring their necks.
 
Well its not jst torward her but old people driving like tards all the time I caught a DWI charge because of one stopping in traffic at a green light and no i wasnt fucked up but because of my prescriptions for my pain meds and i had them on me of course i caused the wreck.
 
I Got run into the back of by some old guy, when I was stopped at a fucking red light!

Old fucker tried claiming I braked suddenly & fought the insurance claim to the death, even when cctv evidence appeared. -.-

So yeah, fuck old people!
 
I bet he can have these charges dismissed on the grounds that cops had no business rooting through his house for drugs.

I wonder if in the late 18th & early 19th centuries (when the ink was still drying on the Constitution) the government would arbitrarily rummage through peoples' houses without warrants. Though I suppose that until a certain point in our history, the government did not care if we were in possession of psychoactive substances.
