Opioids Once the honeymoon euphoria leaves, do you ever get it back?

I'm talking mostly about opiates but I guess it can be applicable to any drug. I got the euphoria from hydrocodone for the first year of trying it (few times a month). It was always "in your face" and I KNEW I would feel all my problems melting away, music sounding 10x better, and my whole body just "letting go". It's what drew me to opiates. My connection dried up and I didn't have any for a year. Now when I take it (regardless of dose), I only get the relaxed feeling but none of the "magic". It's definitely not a tolerance or drug interaction issue and I can't figure out why I don't feel anywhere near as good as I used to. The pills are legit from the pharmacy. Maybe a stronger opiate? I know the euphoria of adderall went away after a few months and it never came back(despite ROA and dose) so I'm hoping its not the same. Opiates are my DOC and it would suck if I couldn't enjoy them ever again. Ive tried all the potentiators but they just make it more sleepy

Snorted dilaudid used to be heaven around the same time but now only iv dilaudid works (feel the amazing rush but that's it). Fentanyl was never euphoric, just sleepy and very analgesic. What was/is you all's experience and is there any hope for someone just looking to chip every once in a while? Thanks

I mean, yeah if you don't use for a while.. you will definitely feel it very strongly again, but that goes away very quickly as your tolerance goes up really fast after having had a history of using.

Hell yeah. Maybe it isn't as innocent as it is at first, but if you're sick as fuck and do a 2 bag shot of heady east coast powder you're magically head over heels in love again.

Sure you have the stress of being a junkie sullying the beauty but it still feels as good until the regret overrides the euphoria.

That said I haven't done heroin or any strong IV opiate in 3-4 years. So I have absolutely no tolerance. Although I am on subutex and that still gives me the opiate "can do" attitude. But imo the most addictive thing is that rollercoaster ride from sick as fuck to heaven. The power. The control. You have the ability to go from shit to heaven with a phone call and a drive. It's hard not to fall in love and stay in love with that pure power. That is until, like I said regret overrides euphoria then you're only numbing yourself.

Very very very bad advice, but get a bad habit then sniff a dilly while sick. I'm sure your mistress will be back in your arms. Or much healthier advice, combine opiates with good company or a special occasion with good friends.
