On the "body load" and diet

So I was wondering something as I was reading another thread in here earlier, I have never had much of a body load with any of the substances I take. I'm unsure if I should have felt such effects with the doses I take generally being low, I've also been a vegetarian for most of my psychonautic explorations. I'd like to hear about the "body load" you generally experience with each psychedelic you have taken and then a general idea of what your diet is like, for my own research purposes.

I don't think being a vegetarian has much to do with it. I have been a vegetarian for 14 years, and every drug experience I have ever had has been during that time. I often experience heavy, even painful body load, especially with mushrooms. It is the main reason I generally avoid heavy doses. I stay away from MDMA altogether because the body load is very painful, and makes my back and neck sore for days after. I do have a fucked up spine due to a series of auto accidents, but it hasn't really effected me while tripping any other substance. Molly is the only one that has left me in pain even after I came down.
 
I lovee food so I can never seem to eat 100% healthy day of the trip, I'll just eat a bit less and not for atleast an hour or 2 before taking anything. Maybe I'll question the really greasy foods.

But I eat steaks, burgers anything day of a trip....The last few times I ate shrooms I would get stomach discomfort. Usually nothing bad besides last time..which was horrrrible..every1 else who ate those same shrooms said the same thing though for eating an eigth of em. My friend said even at a 2 gram dose they still caused a bit of stomach discomfort..lucky for me I had some acid tabs that night ( ate food as i normally would tht same day) and got slight body tention.

My point is with eating normal foods before tripping doesnt seem to add any body load for me, besides what is common for that substance. Shrooms and stomach discomfort and acid having a little body tention. All normal side effects described by others using these. All with medium-high doses I wanna add.
 
I think when I was younger and first started doing psychs I didn't have nearly as many problems as I do now. I'm still only 26 but in 10 years I guess I have become more sensitive to pretty much all of them, at least in terms of how my stomach can handle them.

These days my diet is mostly whey protein. I got a big chunk of cid months ago and have had a terrible time with taking high doses and having gas bubbles form in my stomach and just sit there for 30 minutes-1 hour generally a few hours into the trip, around the peak.

It's weird my stomach will just start to rumble and then bubble a bit and BAM I'm hit with agonizing cramp-like pain that only recedes after I can push it out. Weird, but I never had this with acid in years past. I did used to get heartburn from it, but never the gas issue. I am thinking it could be linked to whey protein though because I usually would have a shake early in the day before not eating a few hours then dosing.

I've also had similar problems with 2CE about 3-4 years ago. 2CE oral wrecked havoc on my stomach, but not the painful gas bubbles. Just rumbling and lots of time on the toilet. =(

I still question though if it is really a diet issue or maybe just more of a high dose or sensitivity issue. I was doing molly like crazy 1-2 years ago and started off doing all oral. After a month or two of that I couldn't tolerate it anymore, not bodyload just gagging and puking after swallowing a pill capsule.

So then I started doing molly plug, and well yea it will clean me out real fast, but I can handle that (actually I like having a psych do that in one sense because it helps keep my weight down - I am very low body fat but gain weight easy due to type 1 diabetes).

Now I pretty much plug anything I can, which helps a lot, but for acid isn't the best. Actually I did try acid blotter plug followed by a rinse with some water and while the trip seemed to be weaker than what oral would have done, I still had to eat a lot of antacids to keep my stomach in check that night. So it's not perfect.

I get bodyload-type stuff sometimes too, when I combine a lot of psychs at festivals and stand for hours especially. I'll end up having back pain by the end of the night but really I think that's just from the experience. I've had back pain at home from psychs too but usually it is just because I'll sit in a bad spot for a few hours, distracted by the drugs, and end up stressing the muscle.

I am thinking the next time I do acid I will just cut whey protein the whole day and stick to fresh fruit. I also had some of the stomach gas issue after doing 2CD plug and M1 oral/later plug but not until late in the night when I decided to drink a protein shake LOL. A few minutes later and I was lying on the ground like "fuck I shouldn't have tried to eat."

Of course the other option would be that it is tied to a supplement I take frequently, possibly piracetam but I doubt it. I mostly think it is sensitivity and the protein... but it could just as well be any food, I just favor whey shakes so heavily. I never had trouble with whey on MDMA though by comparison. I would always have whey at the end of the night after doing tons of molly, and this was my life for every weekend for over a year.

I was thinking to try taking those papaya enzyme "chewable pills" and see if that helps. The issue for me is really finding a way to get the stomach to sit still during all the serotonergic stimulation.
 
I'd say that some sorts of food including meat and fat can produce a body load or heaviness in and of themselves, I have tried a vegetarian diet on a few occasions because of external reasons and it made me feel lighter. One explanation to give for that is that it takes more energy to break down meat than that it produces.
Another thing seems to be that some people report feeling messed up from eating greasy food before or during a trip. I don't know what would make the fat so offensive, if it is more physical or more psychological.
As a psychological factor at the very least, I am much more concerned about healthy food when I trip, I feel more self-conscious about what I am putting into my body and am more in touch with the sentiment that you are what you eat, which in a sense is actually true since it constitutes the actual building blocks from which you rebuild yourself.
 
If I am what I eat, I should be a half cow half pig infused into a human lol. But seriously, I'm gonna try eating more healthy the next time I trip..the week of..to see if any of that body tention from L is still there or not. Knowing me, I'm gonna have a very hard time doing this but I'll report back whenever it happens.

and PsychedlicPeptide, maybe you have problems with all these psyches because of type 1 diabetes? I have no education on it really so I wouldn't know...jus throwin it out there.
 
You are as good as certainly indeed part cow and part pig in a molecular / atomic sense. You pass the waste of old biological tissue and infuse yourself with new things that you eat. Also, the oxygen you breathe (and I do believe some other gases) is incorporated by oxidation. That way every cell in your body is replaced within a seven year time frame although I am not sure if that necessarily means every molecule and atom is as well.

Not that it really matters much anyway, except perhaps to people who believe in homeopathy. It's the patterns that matter, like the DNA code. You can swap the pieces and parts as much as you like but if the pattern is exactly the same there is no true difference.

Anyway that is sort of a tangent. ;)
 
Haha yes, at a glance it seems to me that these terms like original are just off. Would you ask an identical twin which one is the original one? It may be a bad example but you have to make a distinction: every iteration of a pattern is a separate one we can consider, on a whole other level the pattern is a single one.
It all depends on what you want to know: do you want to know something about the parts or about the whole? If you are interested in where the parts come from you might not consider something that is refurbished the same. On the other hand if it is the whole you are interested in, it just does not matter.
These levels exist both at the same time, there is no 'either, or'. The paradox is created when that is introduced.
 
body tention from L

I'd suggest making sure you stretch your body during the experience to help relieve muscle tension. Generally the more you stretch, the better so don't be afraid to do it whenever you get back pain or whatever kind of "body tension." If you have friends around that are willing to do a massage session with you, by all means do it.

My back will get pretty sore and tired from serotonergic drugs like acid or shrooms if I sit in one place for too long, am standing all night or sometimes it just gets real tight from being so high. When I am at home I have a shiatzu back massage chair add-on which is nice, but also I keep ice packs in the freezer and use them to numb the pain away.

I highly advise the use of ice or ice packs to relieve body pain as it is just as powerful as any painkiller (while you have the ice on at least) but you don't have to take any drugs, of course. The best ice packs are "Nordic Ice" which stay ice cold for 1-2 hours pressed directly against the skin.

Nah the diabetes isn't that important. My gut is just sensitive to these things (as are many people) so I have to be careful.
