Misc OMG. What the FUCK just happened? IVed Benadryl

Please no comments saying "Thats stupid" "Your an idiot" even though some will, but WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?!?!


I research everything, I know the Benadryl is water soluble, I know people get injections of benadryl.. I wanted to go to sleep quickly so I put about 3 25mg pills in a grinder.. crushed them.. got all the water I could through the cotton filter since it turns into slush.

I HAVE done this before, and nothing happened.. just tired quick. BUT THIS TIME.. HOLY FUCK.


I thought I was going to die. I was scared for my life, I was terrified beyond belief. I literally was thinking and believing that "I'm going to die. I'm going to die now..." and " 9-1-1 .. hospital.. still dead".

I 100% believed I was about to die or going to die any second.

AS SOON as I injected it.... BOOM!!! My face just light up on fire in tingles, I could barely breathe, I had to stand up because I just couldn't control anything really. My heart was racing, my face was pins and needles and stinging. My whole body is tingling and my heart felt like I was going to have a heart attack or heart explode.

I IMMEDIATELY ran into the bathroom, turned the water on and it was so cold but I didn't care at all.. I kept splashing water over and over and over my face and putting my face under the faucet and after 10 seconds it got better and better and it went away...


What the fuck happened? What occurred? Why did this happen?? I have done this before.. never again.. but this hasn't happened any previous time.

I'm still a bit shakey, it was like a near death experience to me.

That is weird, you said you have done it before and it didn't affect you like that. According to the symptoms you displayed it might be a mild overdose http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-11190-Benadryl+Inj.aspx?drugid=11190&drugname=Benadryl+Inj you might of also had a reaction to the fillers in the pills, probably didn't filter it out well enough, either way I'd probably just eat the Benadryl pills from now on. There is an injectable form of Benadryl but It seems to be only available at the hospital.

Probably not the best idea to shoot up crushed benadryl pills.. actually, that's pretty damn stupid if you ask me.
I'm thinking you just got a significant rush.. but, I wouldn't fuck around with it again. Next time, you may not be able to live & tell the tale.

As people started the stupidity is not injecting the specific compound, but the fact you used pills with more than that one compound. Please buy 20 micron filter with leur lock syringes to prevent destroying your veins as it would suck to go into the ER shooting yourself getting possible junkie assessment when your just shooting benadryl for whatever reason you find benifits.

Remember harm reduction is about being safe not just choosing the right substance and dose even though that's involved.

Edit: I also hope you have sterile cotton with tape or band aids to cover the injection and isopropyl to sterilize beforehand around the injection and needle. Keep pressure on it for ten seconds 3x giving a few seconds in between intervals. Never reuse needles add it increases bacteria infection risk and will scar the skin. IMO IV is not a good choice for long term use and if plugging could be done without to much mental & physical discomfort I would recommend that as some properly you don't damage your body each use by breaking through your skin.
