At the beginning of the song Omerta by Lamb Of God is a spoken quote:

"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, 'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven.' Such is the Rule of Honor."

Too right. Fuck the law. If somebody robs or hurts me, I don't call the cops...

^I'm really not sure what you mean by referring to the FAA in this context without explanation? I don't think that has anything to do with P's post.

P - 'omerta' is a code of honor in which private matters are dealt with between/among the individuals involved in a given situation rather than outside authority. Would you agree that this is your personal definition? I completely agree. There are many reasons why the authorities should be called - absolute medical emergencies, fire, police emergencies, etc. But in general it has been my experience that better results were achieved when the parties dealt with whatever was happening themselves.

^ Yep, I'm talking about the cops. There are times when paramedics or fire crews definitely need to be called. But as I've learned over the years (especially with my involvement in gangs) a lot of disputes can be sorted without the police getting involved.
