Older and wiser - what ya know now....

1. When the dealer doesn't call, don't assume he's stiffing you. Now, my first thought is, "I hope he's ok....".
2. Don't buy from people you don't know. Very well. And even then assume they aren't the people you knew before when ounces and benjamins are on the table.
3. Don't sell to people you don't know. In fact, don't sell period. If you do, same caveat as 2 applies.
4. When it stops becoming fun, stop doing it.
5. Drugs will not make me cool. Nor will 90% of humanity be impressed with me for having tried $nameofdrug here.

There are no rewards for planting a pristine corpse into the ground. A completely worn out body feeds just as many flowers.

If you give up drugs, sugar, salt, wierd sex and TV you won't actually live longer, but it will sure as hell seem a lot longer!!

What the....that is a really destructive way of looking at life I would think. Basically you are saying 'fuck it, because it doesn't matter in the end anyhow'. Well I would disagree...I think part of being human is moving beyond what you started out as. Doing something with your life and making as much a good impact as you can (if you are a good person, atleast). I don't believe in God, I believe that when we die, we decompose....but, I am not about to throw my life away because I (IMO) won't get to get into heaven. I can still make an impact on THIS earth, in THIS world, and in THIS time.

Also, sugar isn't necessarily bad for you unless you over-indulge, in which case you deserve the heart attack you're about to get. Same thing goes for salt, and actually salt is a requirement for your body to live/function properly...so it can't be ALL bad. Wierd sex can certainly lead to some complications...but not necessarily, depending on your fancy. I mean, some people call anal sex wierd, and as long as you do it with a clean partner, there isn't a problem.

But to be on topic for a moment:
1) ALWAYS watch your intake of substances and STICK to your (hopefully pre-defined) rules.
2) NEVER deal with shady people
3) If you like being sober, stay as such as it will benefit you in the long run (this will also help with #2..and this one was a hard lesson for me to learn)
4) DO NOT drive intoxicated (thankfully learned this from others before I experienced it)
5) And as mentioned prior, when it stops being fun, stop doing it (ie: you do it to 'feel better' vs 'have fun', also a lesson I had to learn the hard way)

My $.02.

^^^ Sadly, this is why alot of people turn to drugs, because they share the same outlook.

Sad eh?

Oh I completely agree...but someone spouting that off as 'advice' on a forum like this with no one critiquing or arguing against that is a bad thing, hence my post. After all, if EVERYONE thought that way, we'd still be in the stone-age.

Driving under the influence of any drug is bad. But if you are going to do it anyway, pick a drug other than alcohol.

Please don't extrapolate for me...that is not at all what I was saying.

In this world there are those people that cover their sofas in protective plastic and those that don't. Some want their furniture to remain forever perfect and some are willing to accept the wear and tear of use. My body will be well worn in and comforatble upon my departure rather than pristine and ill-fitting.

BTW...any generalisation or aphorism is susceptible to nit-picking, doesn't make the intended point any less valid, just gives the bored something to do.

Life is meaningless as are all the insignificant beings that it manipulates. Also, that America sucks.

"never underestimate the power of denial."
Woah dude, I just finished watching American Beauty... Cool coincedince.

I now know that selling drugs wont get you anywhere, but doing them will if you are creative enough. Giving up your dreams for drugs is ridiculous, living your dreams with drugs is fantastic

oh my....you couldnt have said it any better. BRAVO. TOTALLY. ABSOLUTELY.WORD.

And i learned this the hard way.....no matter how sincere, honest, truthful and a good friend you are, there will come a time when someone WILL fuck you up. Moneywise, friendship wise, trust wise, etc etc.
I got fucked up many times , in varying degrees , but I dont regret any of it. They've made me so much wiser and have taught me valuable lessons I wont soon forget.
And they havent made me jaded either...I also learned that karma is an awesome bitch you gotta have by your side always.

This is about drugs and the game homie. this aint philosophy class

most of these have probably been said all ready, but they bear repeating...

-never talk about shit on the phone! if you're talking to a dealer or a customer, just arrange a meeting and then talk about stuff face to face. if you really really must discuss matters on the phone, work out a solid code and use your normal everyday speaking voice when using it (ie be nonchalant), and only use said code on a prepaid phone (or payphone) that you've gotten with a fake name

-keep everything on a need to know basis. never brag, boast or talk shit about illegal matters (or anything for that matter, no one likes a braggart or a loudmouth)

-don't work (especially at parties and festivals) when you're fucked up.

-don't get high on your own supply (that is if you're actually trying to make money)

-don't let business destroy friendships (ie never front shit to your unreliable but otherwise loveable friends)

-never ever ever smoke or consume anything in your car, and never speed or break any traffic laws while you're carrying something.

-memorize the number of a good lawyer and bail bondsman

-weed IS addictive and WILL dampen all your dreams and ambitions if you let it (which is easy to do)

-most drug use is a waste of time and energy

-you can't achieve any kind of personal growth soley through tripping, it's what you do with the insight you receive that truly matters.

-never pay for drugs (imho, if you can't get it for free, it's not worth doing... the only exception i make is for high quality psychedelics) if all the money you spend on drugs could be funding world travels or helping you lead a more healthy and comfortable lifestyle then you have a problem that needs to be address. if you must buy drugs, don't cop on the street or at a club, always go through trusted people. if you don't know anyone who you trust, you need to spend more time working on your social and networking skills than on getting high.

-most importantly, always trust your first gut reaction to a situation. never let greed and desire get in the way of your safety. if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Sorry dude....

Do not, under any circumstances, trust anyone unless they are just as guilty as you.
