Down, down, down we tune it all out
so we can listen to the pure truth within us.
Drifting away, away, away, furter into that place
where we can open our eyes and love each other.

Away from the flesh
I can see your nakedness.
Removed from the body
I can sense you are raw and undiluted.

You come home. I hear your car pull up.
Rush like the wind to the balcony three stories high.
There you are, down there! Maybe if I jump I can see
you sooner? Thrusting myself from the ledge I fall for
just a moment then up, up, up! Maybe I will
touch the sky before any of the marvelous green trees?
Maybe, before the mountians scratch the clouds, I will
wisp right through, first in line! I will be first to touch the
clouds today.

Silence. Footsteps. The clip clop of high heels. Perfume preceeds
your silent beauty. Door opens, the sound of keys, a smile. I got
home early just so I can meet you at the door and tell you
I love you. Come fly with me. We'll go touch the clouds before those
greedy trees and mountians taint the pureness.

well well well... looks like i'm not the only one who has been lurking. my dear pyro, it's been awhile....

your poem made me smile. i hope that someday i'm lucky enough to have someone feel that way for me. what you have given this person is something many people only ever dream of.

you haven't lost your touch.

This is fantastic... I wrote that with the sole intention of having E-girl reply to my post! It's good to see you around here too. I'd be interesting to hear your story.

Yeah, I actually got married to this girl. She's what I was looking for, and what I am looking for. We have a very thoughtful love, with a little spontenaity (sp?).

I hope to read more of your posts and have you read more of mine. Familiarity is a blessing.

you wrote something once that was called like, Sitting on the Grass or something. Heck, I actually remember a few things you've written that have embedded into my memory. There was a girl you used to write about (maybe there was more than one?) and I used to always find myself drawn into your story, into your life.

Familiarity - yes. Funny, I was at a few of the WMC parties this weekend (since i'm now living down here in sunny south FL) and I actually ran into a BLer I haven't seen in about 5 or 6 years. Someone I used to talk to on the OLD bluelight (.net?). Boy was that a blast from the past.

I'll be posting more... maybe you will keep reading my story? I think they were different girls. Now, there's just one. She really liked the poem too, btw.

It means a lot to know that someone remembers my stuff. I hope you'll keep reading and writing! I want to, kinda sorta, recreate the old feel of the Word forum where we are a community of supportive writers again. I really liked that more than anything on BL.

Much love.

Here's to that! :)

It's great to have both of you posting here again. You're both talented writers with plenty of insight to share. I'm enjoying reading many of the recent threads in the forum, where posters such as yourselves are relating poems to their own life and experiences. %)
