I use to do stuff when I was a kid. Now I'm over 60. I don't drink, smoke or do any drugs for 34 years now. I have a 13 year old grand Daughter that has already smoked pot. The only reason I'm here is to get knowledge to help protect her. If your an adult and use drugs, then that's fine with me. I could care less. You'll get no sympathy from me. I'm a conservative and don't condone drug use.

The best thing that you can do to protect your granddaughter is to have an open line of communication with her. Of course you don't want a thirteen year old smoking pot! But how you communicate that is where it gets complicated. It isn't easy but having a clear handle on what the real risks are, rather than all the exaggerations, and being able to talk about those in a non-judgmental way is what is going to at least give you a chance of being heard.
