Hello,
Just thought I would introduce myself since I just suddenly starting posting everywhere..lol. I have lurked for a long time and registered some time ago but apparently forgot about it.
I really started posting because now my kids are finally out of the house. You have no idea how valuable this site has been to me with all of my teens. I came here to get some information on things I would find out they were into and that way I knew a bit about what was happening with them. I always tried to protect them from anything coming down the pike.
I am a realistic Mom, not a drug abuser (smoked a little pot back in the day, and drank some but unfortunately just have to take opiates because of chronic pain, so I absolutely know about physical dependence ) and knew that my kids needed me if they got in to something they couldn't get out of.
With all that said, I respect people's freedoms and do not judge anyone for anything. I believe we are supposed to live in a free country (yea right) and no one should tell a grown person what to do. That and me having light medical training makes me come back to site and maybe now I can post to help a long the way.
Also, in the regards of my own pain medication I am actually shorted every month on my prescription, prescribed 4 a day and only RX'ed 100 a month (it is hard to talk to people shoving you through the system a hundred mile an hour, and since I have a long way to go I figure it isn't worth it, they give me a million other meds that I am too scared to take so I just take it and smile perhaps my husband my need them..lol) so I do occasionally go into light withdrawal and have found this site very interesting in ways to keep from being too ill for work and so on.
So, anyway that is me and I hope I can be helpful or at least have some good conversation.
