There are some real good old drug movies from way back that are still pretty cool to this day.
If you can ever acquire them these are just a few I once had in a collection but no longer do.
Some are funny and others are....but weren't meant to be.

Here's what I can recall as some worth checking out:

1. The Trip.....(1967)....starred Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper. Pretty cool low budget flick all about this guy's first time dosing some acid (Fonda).

2. Easy Rider...(1969)....also starred Fonda and Hopper with a great performance by a young Jack Nicholson....its a CLASSIC and most people already know it. Great counter-culture flick and a MUST see if you never have!

3. The People Next Door...(1970)....Excellent movie about a teenage girl and her experimentation with acid and coke and her so desperate parents efforts at coping with it all. (Hal Holbrook).

4. Desperate Lives....(1982)... A comical approach to what was meant as an after school anti-drug movie about a basically stoned high school complete with PCP overdose and coke use...lots of pot and oh yeah....the car with two teens driving off a mountain road while high on PCP -laced weed. Good flick though. One of Helen Hunt's first acting jobs.

5. The Beach Girls....(1982)... Cool laid back weekend smokin weed, partying low budget flick filmed around Malibu. I like Captain Jack!

6. The Party Animal...(1984)?.... COMEDY....definitely one worth watchin while gettin baked!

7. Dazed and Confused....(1993)....Good pot smokin trip down memory lane for old farts who can still remember the 70s. Great music soundtrack and decent movie. Pretty much just how it was back in the day.

8. Drugstore Cowboy.....(1989)....Matt Dillon is the leader of a group who goes around ripping off every pharmacy they can and just doing a lot of the dope they score. Damn good flick!

9. Rush.....(1990)? Damn good movie with Jason Patric, Jennifer Jason Leigh and with Greg Allman. A MUST!

10. Red Surf....(1992).... One of George Clooney's first. Co-starring Gene Simmons from KISS. A MUST SEE!

11. Scarface...(1983)....Al Pacino CLASSIC and a MUST!

12. Goodfellas....(1990)?.....Damn good mobster true story with lots of action and coke.

Others..... Traffic, Blow and Go.......ALL good ones as well as many others like Trainspotting and I think....one titled "Where the Day Takes You"...or something like that with Dermot Mulroney......VERY GOOD flick!

Other movies/videos worthy of watching while getting baked are:

Pink Floyd....The Wall (1983)
Pink Floyd LIVE in concert...(1987) Delicate Sound of Thunder

Led Zeppelin....The Song Remains the Same....LIVE in concert (Madison Square Garden 1973). "Dazed and Confused" LIVE is SWEET!

Cheech and Chong's first movie (Up in Smoke).....(1978).....their BEST one!

Best War flick....Apocalypse Now...(1979)....began production in (1975) though...I believe.

I KNOW there ARE MANY others but the above are some of my personal favorites.
Please help me come up with others.

Lots of good movies out there that may not pertain much to drug use but are damn good to watch with drug use. =D

yeah overall I felt the same way about Easy Rider. Even parts of Scarface sucked.

Easy Rider rocked house.

Night of the Living Dead - terrifiying and in black and white... circa 1968.

I got the dvd of Marihuana, comes w/ a strange and very odd midget-western called The Terror of Tinytown....really...damn weird. but i think it offsets Marihuana nicely...they are both ludicrously hilarious mwahhhahahaa

Have a really old movie most of you may have heard of. It's called 'Reefer Madness' and it was made in the early 40's I think. Some say this movie was a piss take off all the propaganda that was going around at the time.

here are some great quotes from it.

Ray Peterson: No, I've never seen that, I've never seen anyone drive thier garbage out to the curb and bang the hell out of it with a stick

Mark Rumsfield: In Southeast Asia we'd call this kind of thing bad karma.

Ricky Butler: Green sky at morning, neighbor take warning.
Ray Peterson: Green sky at night?
Ricky Butler: Neighbor take flight?

Mark Rumsfield: Hey, Ricky, get this lame-o out of your yard.
Ricky Butler: Hey, lame-o, get out of my yard.

Ray Peterson: Remember what you were saying about people in the 'burbs, Art, people like Skip, people who mow their lawn for the 800th time, and then SNAP? WELL, THAT'S US. IT'S NOT THEM, THAT'S US. WE'RE the ones who are vaulting over the fences, and peeking in through people's windows. We're the ones who are THROWING GARBAGE IN THE STREET, AND LIGHTING FIRES. WE'RE THE ONES WHO ARE ACTING SUSPICIOUS AND PARANOID, ART. WE'RE THE LUNATICS. US. IT'S NOT THEM. It's us.

Art: Garbies. Wait. What are you doing?
Garbageman: Emptying garbage.
Art: Into the garbage truck? Are you out of your mind?

Finally saw Scarface -- "Say allo to my leel fran!" with Pacino all covered in coke. Ah, to have a table like his.

The Man with The Golden Arm with Frank Sinatra as the star. Brilliant.

I have a VHS tape with The Trip, which is OK, and Wild in The Streets, which is about 60s youth taking over and sending everyone over 30 to LSD re-education camps. It's a real hoot.
