Old 7-oh strips

If there's old 7-oh strips 10 months old, individually wrapped air sealed,... but seem worse on the stomach... would doing anything like dissolving them in a small quantity of vodka maybe kill whatever gummy crap from the strip went south? It would kill the quick-release action, but that might still be worth it. Sorry so poorly written too late harharlol
