Okay to mix Klonopin & oxycodone?

I'm a once a week oxy user-for-fun (5-10 mg.). I take Klonopin (rarely) for panic attacks. This is usually necessitated when my idiopathic benign tachycardia or skipping beats decide to visit -- doctors call it benign tho the word I have for it is much worse : ) In other words, when I have an attack I take the Klonopin (usually .25 grams, .5 if really panicked). (btw, I am also on a daily beta blocker--I have no structural problems, just electrical). My question is, if this happens while I'm on the oxy, can I take my 1/2 Klonopin or should I avoid it at all cost.

Sorry I'm such a puss but what can I say; I'm a big fat baby.

Go for it, opiates and benzos are my favorite combination! If you keep the doses low you don't have much to worry about all it'll do is synergize and make you more fucked up but not to the point of life threatening at those doses.

uh ^ terrible terrible advice.

firstly, the benzo will blunt the opiate experience. if you have no tolerance to opiates, just take the oxy on its own honestly. it's only when you're starting to take truly monstrous doses of opiates that benzos come into the equation.

secondly, everyone reacts differently to this combo. even a dose this low could potentially lead them to respiratory depression and death, oxycodone is a very powerful opiate and clonazepam is a powerful CNS depressant.

i wouldn't suggest mixing the two either way. enjoy them both for what they are while you can.
 
Thanks yinz all for the answers; I actually am not trying to get higher or potentiate by taking the clonazepam but wanted to know if I could take it if I have a break through panic situation, what with my tachycardia. I had an episode which is why I initially posted the question, but luckily, it has passed.

Yeah it sucks going into a panic while on opiates and knowing that you can't pop a benzo.
 
As long as the dosage of either one isn't too large you will be fine. Best results would be taking the klonopin before taking the opiates -- reduces the potential anxiety from the opiates taking effect, which I personally believe most anxiety stems from in drug use (when a drug is first kicking in and taking effect).
 
I've taken Xanax with opiates before and it made me really really drowsy. I would start with 0.5 mg Klonopin (or 0.25 mg if that dose is available) with 10 mg oxy and see how that affects you. Your dose of oxy is pretty low so I don't think there is a huge risk of respiratory depression.

help my brother is addicted to benzos (illicitly) someone clean this shit
 
I was taking my prescribed norcos for 3 years before I mixed Valium with it. Even after 3 years, I still only mixed 10mgs of hydro with 2.5 MG's of Valium & was high.......

Like was mentioned above, you're only taking 5-10mgs of oxy twice a week, that's not much of a tolerance so be careful.

If you really want to try it to see what its like, take 2.5mgs of oxy with a quarter of a klonopin pill.

Reason people are against you mixing them is because you don't take neither much
