Okay, so this blew my ideas about what was healthy out of the water...

Possibly, but the articles I read were quite informative and gave me a background on the complex cholesterol/saturated fat/ heart disease issue which is a start for anybody who would want to learn about it :).

Another commercially motivated source with an agenda. And their web pages don't even render properly in my firefox browser. No thank you.

I'd love to see some non commercially motivated research anywhere. If you think there is such you're kidding yourself.

So all research has a bias and it's up to you to sift throught it and see where the truth lies (if it does, and if you can).

I've seen lots of pro pharmasutical folks act like it's the natural foods industry that's out to make a buck and their business is pure science. Nothing is farther from truth. Both sides have lots of BS in them.

Well, there are such things as non-profit organizations, and they do fund research. Thats not to say they don't have any bias, but at least they aren't blatently selling you something, and selectively picking out a few studies in order to do that. I followed the link to their peer-reviewed studies on that site. The one's I looked at were either very weak or completely flawed.

Try the New Scientist or Journal of Medicine for non biased research.
