Okay losers, post here! v. The Weight Loss thread

still have about ten pounds to go to my original sexy me weight.

i really want to start working out but finding the time and the desire is just so difficult. :(

I was going to say that but that would unhealthy. Body into starvation mode....not good ;)

Haha. yes, I agree- this is why under normal circumstances I would never stop eating for a days at a time. But the only things I can get down right now are liquids. I've been drinking Gatorade and juices though to try to get some calories/nutrients.

Darthmom, some of the best advice I've recieved (both on here and irl) is not to wait for motivation. Just get up and go! You might hate it the first few times, but getting into a routine is what will make your workouts consistant, not reallying on desire or willpower. Because you will DEFINENTLY have days that you don't want to do it- so you need that structure there to reenforce that you'll workout. Just be like, "I will work out at X time, X days a week" and ONLY allow yourself to miss the workout if you are seriously ill or there is some kind of emergency. Eh, easier said than done, but I've found when planning aheard, im more likely to get the workout in as opposed to just waiting until I felt like it.

But 10lb. is not a lot! Certainly doable! I'm sure you can get it off :) I wish you good luck. I don't know what you look like, but I'm guessing that your lounge nickname "DarthMilf" must be an testimate to your awesome body ;) So be proud with what you got and find joy in improving! Good luck.

ahh my bad, i wasn't trying to hate on your cleanse :o You know, some people swear by them and to be truthful I've never tried one myself. I just don't think could stand being hungry for that long personally! But the difference with being sick is that my appitite isn't that great anyway. You can just ignore my little comment :D Hope your cleanse goes well.

ahh i know, i am such a cunt.

but yeah, laying off food for a few days has officially taken off my post-cruise weight gain plus a bit more, so im looking at -5lb. overall since the beginning of May :) not bad, considering my efforts were not always 100%. Hopefully this next month I'll keep my head in the game and not get so crazy with yummy drinks =D

My tonsilitis is at a point where I can eat, but my stomach has adjusted to less food- I want to use this to my advatage and hopefully just eat small amounts to feel full.

^ Thanks great :) nice job.

I've had my ups and downs the past month in a half with my attempts to be healthy, but I feel like lately I've been on track. I weighed myself this morning, and my total weight loss since the beginning of May is 5lb. =D I'm pretty pleased with it! That's about 1\3 of my total goal so I've made a significant change. I don't think I look all that different (yet ;) ), but my clothes are a bit looser and I feel better.

I don't crave junk food NEARLY as much as I used to (even when I'm PMSing, like now) and I don't get hungry as often. I've learned to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day. I haven't quite gotten into the routine of exercizing like I'd like to... I workout a few times a week, but I am guilty of skipping days when I'm lazy :\

Hope everyone else is doing well with their weight loss\healthy living goals =D This forum is great advice and support.

I have been doing well on cutting back on the pot induced munchies on week nights. I am now working on reducing calories on the weekends. Generally, I weigh between 130-132. The scale hasn't budged from 127 in 2 weeks. However, a 3-5 lbs loss not does make a difference to how I look. I get that.

That's great, P.I.!! Even if you don't feel you look different, at least you set out a goal and stuck to it :) Also, I've noticed that when I lose weight, I never think I look any different\better, but other people recognise it. Sometimes when you get used to seeing yourself a certain way, you still have that mentality even when you are changing.

Anyway, good for you <3 In my opinion you are at a good weight and you look great.

Thank you. I know the number on the scale is fine. However, my goal is to drop body fat (not just reduce the number on the scale) and KEEP it off. I will never see ab definition if I don't. I figure with amount I exercise (which has been easily incorporated into my life) and continued caloric reduction, I will see a change. However, this weekend was filled with gluttony and it was good :)

I noted that I buy less milk and cereal which is my night time snack of choice. Probably because it is the quickest thing to make! I do not buy many processed foods.

I went from 243 lbs to 202 in 5 months by exercising and not taking zyprexa. Im 6' 2 1/2''.

Uggg, okay losers, how do you deal with temporary weight gain due to... *girl time*... without feeling horrible about it? :(

Maybe it's just because I've been sure to be SUPER careful with my diet this past week, no nibble was unaccounted for, I've made sure everything I've eaten was within a certain calorie\fat range. I was hoping to beat the ineviatable bloat.... FAIL :(

I've been trying to drink tons of water and avoid salt, but I've gained 2 pounds in the past 3 days and I'm so pissed!!!!

Is there anything I can do, or just stop worrying about it and hope it comes off in a few days?

woman, just dont weigh yourself at those water weight gain times of the month!!!!
your just upsetting urself for no reason each month

^ *sigh* thank you for knocking some sense into me. I don't know know WHY I even bothered to step on the scale :\ Silly me 8)

im just going to wait until aunt flow has left the vacinity before even thinking about weighing myself again.

Back to normal now, you guys were right :) I'm excited.
