Okay, Here's why I respect Deadmau5 :

Deadmau5 is crisp clean, super fat&juicy sound. Purity...I pretty much can't stand most traditional djs. Very refreshing sound this guy has. I don't care how complicated it is, I know just anyone can't get that sound from any DAW, he's crafted it from scratch. His setup looks like fucking NASA command.
 
Deadmau5's album get scraped, the first one he came out with in 2006, is why i like him. His songs 8 bit, bored of canada (boards of canada tribute) and careless are beautifully made i my opinion. I agree with whoever posted ahead of me that he was awesome but his stuff isn't original anymore. But i am a fan and saw him rock it live in mad town so im not a hater by any means.
 
He's made a few good tracks, the rest are average at best.

My opinion on DJing vs. producing: overall I have more respect for ppl who produce their own tracks, particularly if their productions are creative and unique like deadmau5 or Stimming, HOWEVER some DJing requires an incredible amount of skill, particularly some types of scratching especially when they add body tricks. That shits fucking awesome. In a way scratching IS producing by creating your own sounds and beats out of existing songs.

So if you don't like deadmau5, you're just trying to be cool? It isn't possible that someone could have different opinions than you? Besides... that's pretty laughable considering it's obviously much cooler to like him than hate him. He is very mainstream and popular.
 
I only liked a couple songs on his last album (4X4)..but i do respect him alot. And would def go to his show. I can't stand people that hate on the guy. Mau5 head is cool.
 
His Ultra set was pretty good. Better than last years. He had Tommy Lee on drums which was an odd surprise. But then again if I compare that set to Boys Noize or even Afrojack, it wasn't too good lol.

Because he put skrillex on tour. Skrillex is 100x easier to hate than deadmau5 hahaha.

My only issue with Deadmau5 is he needs new material, but i gotta say i find his music hard to dislike and some of it i think is amazing like "alone with you"...that song is sooooo fucking smooth.

Yeah that's really funny. :D Although to be fair, I think Deadmau5 is a better artists than Skrillex (but perhaps that's just me following the fad). :D
