Ok to sleep after benzo use 10 hours ago and some strong drinks?

10 hours ago I ingested 30mg temaze and 1mg loraze. Then, over the past two hours I ingested 2 1/2 pretty strong drinks. My alcohol tolerance is naturally high but otherwise zero, and my benzos tolerance is mild. I feel perfectly fine, but want to be safe. Do you think it is safe to go to sleep, or should I wait?

Thanks. I've never had to ask this before because I hardly ever drink, but a bunch of family is in town today

For future reference: I know it feels good and both those drugs potentiate each other... But don't mix benzos with alcohol.. It literally can just kill and take people out at random.. benzos n alcohol is bad lol... All i'm sayin is don't play with that bro.. I used to until one night no i try my best not to have it in me before i have to go to bed.. anyways peace stay safe.. :p

Maybe for future reference, don't use bold, annoying, hard to read font.. You'll be fine, sleep on your side if you're worried.

Thanks guys. I waited a bit, then feel asleep and sleep like a baby. I appreciate the help, and probably won't be mixing those again just for safety issues

The dangers of this combination are highly exaggerated. No, a modest therapeutic dose of benzos with a couple of drinks cannot "take people out at random". This is nothing but scaremongering BS... it's because of myths like this that the OP is now afraid to fall asleep.

Unless you have a seriously f-d up metabolism/are on MAOIs or something; you would have to be extremely reckless to run into any problems combining benzos with alcohol. Benzos have an excellent safety profile and it's actually quite an idiot-proof combo.

If you enjoy getting drunk then I would actually recommend a combination of benzos+alcohol over alcohol alone. People tend to drink a lot less alcohol when they're on benzos (less damage to your health).

It's the old-school, pre-benzo era sedatives you gotta watch out for. Drinking on GHB, carisoprodol/meprobamate, barbiturates, methaqualone etc. is very sketchy. Those drugs are easy enough to OD on without adding alcohol to the equation.

not trying to be a scaremongerer just said my opinion.. and its dangerous.. by bad for caring

Well I'm sorry but your opinion is BS.
You would be right if the OP was talking about taking a handful of benzos and going through a crate of beer but he isn't. He took 30mg temazepam and 1mg lorazepam with 2 and a half drinks - that's it. I suggest you read reports on benzo+alcohol overdoses... it does happen but only to people who are extremely stupid or suicidal.

Why do people think it's OK to go out and get steaming drunk, but for some reason drinking 2 beers with a small dose of a benzo is stupid and dangerous?
Alcohol is one of the most toxic and destructive drugs you can put into your body. Benzodiazepines are very easy on the body (the only real risk is addiction).

Xanax is alright...just alright. For me the memory loss is a no bueno when alcohol is added(hard.which is the only thing I prefer). It's the worst thing finding out what you did or said the night before. Some people pass out whilst others continue on. I have learnt that benzos and etoh make this docile girl into a nasty reck. But I do notice that I dont have so much of a hangover in the morning. Just annoyed when I wake up, some people find it rather hilarious. I'm not quite sure they're telling me the truth until I hear from a more reliable source. I feel mortified

Man I'm not even trying to argue with you whatsoever.. At all.. Idk why I'm being bitched and just plain hated.. I decided to join Bluelight after lurking around on its forums and it sounded very helpful and informative, and have tons of info on safety R.O.A. B.A. ect ect.. So decide I to join.. And one week Into being a "member" I'm being "told whats up and my opinion is B.S." I hope this isnt how alot of people are on this what I thought was a great site..

I think it just depends on the person really. Every time I have taken benzos and drank, I blacked out. Although, I was a few years younger and did not pace myself when it came to booze.
If someone can pace themselves, then it's probably cool. But I've blacked out so many times on benzos. Klonopin every time btw.

docs prescribe 60mg of temazepam/day in addition to 2-4mg/day of lorazepam to the same person, so i wouldnt think anything bad could happen.
