So, I think the most/worst of my withdrawals are gone! I have been addicted to roxies for 3 years. It took over my life. It has taken away so many good things in my life that I miss terribly, but I never could quit doing them. I lied, stole from family and work, wrecked my car, love of my life left me, got fired. So I finally HAD to stop. I used 1 suboxone...and after my last suboxone dose, I crumbled, and did a shot of heroin. But that was almost 48 hours ago. I woke up feeling groggy and with lack of energy. But I feel great otherwise. I cannot believe I havent been doing roxies. It was such a big part of my life. And I miss it...but I know how hard it was making my life. Only thing I am worried about, is when I do get a job, and start making money...I hope I dont get bad off again. Because now, I feel like I might do heroin instead of roxies. I know it is best to stay completely away from it all...but deep inside I keep saying that I might just do it once or twice a week. Do you think that is possible? I just love it so much to completely keep it out of my life.

Glad to hear it. I think your post might be more appropriate for the "dark side" forum which is typically for people trying to maintain sobriety. "Other drugs" is usually for people who are still using (no judgement).

i would try staying off of them for some time if you can. i have the same story, only with heroin. its been almost a year and i'm at the point where i can do things here and there, but not like before. everyone differs though. good luck and congrats :)

If your recovering from withdrawals enough to feel good then stick with it.. don't use any opiates for a VERY long time.. thinking you can handle doing it once or twice a week is setting yourself up for failure.. You've already said you lost so many good things while using.. how about starting to rebuild your life? Something it doesn't sound like you can do on opiates.

Good luck <3

One thing I see you've been posting a lot.
If its helping keep doing it!
Anything that helps.

As the other poster said its probably more appropriate for the dark side forum though.

you are only kidding yourself if you dont think that occasional use will soon turn into full blown addiction!

Take a break. And be honest with yourself; you have to know it's not possible to only use once or twice a week. That kind of mindset is simply a result of bargaining with yourself, and is ultimately detrimental, as it prohibits you from really letting go of the past and moving forward.

If you're going to use in moderation, I'd go for far less than a few times a week. Something like once a month is more reasonable IMO.

Don't do it!

Look mate don't even think that you can get away by doing heroin just once or twice a week, it don't work!
Every addict I know, myself included started by doing it once at the weekends then it was Saturday and Sunday then you fancy a little midweek treat for yourself. Before you know it you are having to do it every day just to feel normal and stop yourself feeling sick.
I have yet to meet someone who can stick to once or twice a week for very long.
I am over 10years into my addiction now after starting off as a 'just at weekends' bloke. It won't work mate so don't think of trying. Get it stopped now

I think you probably still will experience w/d later today or tomorrow, its likely the buprenorphine you took keeping you from being full blown dopesick due to it's long half life.

When you say 1 suboxon,do you mean 1 mg?one 2 mg pill?one 8 mg pill?If it was an 8 mg pill,I bet it's still keeping you well.I don't wanna burst your bubble, and I am pullin for you,but there is no miracle cure for physical opiod depency. If you are physically dependent the withdrawal syndrome is inevitable.

Trying to use occasionally probably won't work...especially if you start having income. Ive tried it multiple times and failed a lot

And don't start doing dope...it just makes things harder. It's exactly what I did and it's the biggest regret I have
