Its your "duty" as a human to make fun of people? Wow

once again i said THE TREND is retarded. i'm sure there are plenty of kandi-tards that hold good jobs/get good grades/love jesus, etc. but that doesn't change the fact that they look fucking ridiculous. many times have i been caught on camera, etc. looking like a moron and guess what? i dealt with it and didn't cry "why are you making fun of me!? what gives you the right!?"...simply because i can admit when i've been caught red-handed making an ass out of myself.

getting all worked up in kandi-gear is a giant vick's smeared, plastic day-glo piece of shit excuse to go rave. period.

they look (and kinda sound) like a kandi kid molested an emo rocker.

Jay-P = Geekster

I thought he sounded familiar, too.....

In the end, without this scene...I have a very dependable and lucrative career. I don't need to make money off the scene....we do our shows because we like what we do, which is why I assume you do yours as well, since you made the comment you try to do your shows for less, which is commendable. The truth remains, though...whether you want to believe it or not...that we did everything we did with integrity, and although I am pretty disturbed that you (or anyone) would think we would masquerade a benefit as a way to rip money off the scene, at this point I could really care less about what you think.

Trip Turlington -- At first Geekster and I butted heads. (Not sure who, but some INTELLIGENT HANDSOME person) created a profile with the name 'Geekster GM' who was ever positive --- the 'GM' actually standing for 'Good Man' --Geekster's handle was 'Geekster GN' or something like that. After a few Ultra positive posts under that name, Geekster showed his dismay. 'Geekster GM' profile got banned and life went on. There were threats of lawyer babble-- suing for defamation . . . . whatever. Then a brilliant lawyer (one who passed the bar) and a member of the FUNKenterprises -- created 'Geekster JD' found a few things that when brought to Geekster's attention were enough to silence the dispute.

I tell you this while saying this: I think -- no, actually i KNOW that Geekster is good for the scene. Everything in life needs balance. Yin/Yang --- Positive/Negative -- Protagonist/Antagonist --- you get the point. Without someone (here it's Jay-P Gold) to keep questioning everything - there would be a bunch of lemmings --- and/or 'yes' people -- I would rather Geekster ask these questions than someone with a LOT more authority (ala Scarab) ---

Maybe you could see this as a checks and balances -- and believe me -- it feels odd to be sticking up for Jay-P Gold ----- but you know that party was off the chain --- and so does everyone there. It's written in the threads of human society/development that a rebellion will arise --- resistance of authority --- whatever you wanna call it. Just know that the 'hater' role is in good hands with him. I have since our dispute -a year or two ago- had a couple real good conversations with him.

He REALLY loves electronic music.

You sound like me -- ever on the quest to expand electronic music awareness. You may see him as a hindrance - - relax... bc if Scarab would have had a few more Geeksters around them -- I would venture to say that things wouldn't have gone the way they did.

Props out to my girl, Serendipity for calling the whole double identity.

I'm gonna go ahead and agree on the public forum. I think the "kandi" stuff looks silly, it makes me laugh.

Gizzmo -- it was tight! --

I think 'candy' is ok. It's easy to explain those outside the subculture as 'jewelry' --- the masks and binkies are a lot harder to explain --- the medical field uses masks and babies use binkies. Those are red flags. The jewelry is justified --- and kinda identifies the subculture -- like glow sticks. --- like tie dye does the Grateful Dead

Got Candy?

Oh --- and I found this in the urbandictionary.com :

1. Emo
Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle.

2. emo
An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality. The concept of Emo is actually a vicious cycle that never ends, to the utter failing of humanity, and it goes something like this:

1. Girls say they like "sensitive guys" (lie)
2. Guy finds out, so he listens to faggy emo music and dresses like a dork so chicks will see that he is sensitive and not afraid to express himself (lie). He dyes his hair black, wraps himself in a stupid looking scarf, develops an eating disorder, and rants about how "nobody understands".
3. Now an emo guy, he meets Emo chick and they start dating, talking about how their well-off suburban lifestyles are terrible and depressing (lie)
4. Emo guy is just too much of a pussy. His penis is too small, he's too depressed to bathe, and has more mood swings than emo chick, and he doesn't even have a menstrual cycle. Emo chick dumps him, saying "It's not you, it's me." (lie) as she drives off with Wayne, the school jock and captain of the football team.
5. Emo guy goes home and cries, proceeds to write a weak song and strum a single string on his acoustic guitar. Another emo chick sees how he is so in touch with his feelings, and the cycle continues.

This is the sad truth of the emo lifestyle/music, and now that I look at how pathetic it really is, maybe the emos DO have something to cry about!

When she sees how sensitive and emo I have become, she'll definately go out with me!

3. Emo
Like a Goth, only much less dark and much more Harry Potter.

My life sucks, I want to cry.

4. emo
The Difference between Emo And Goth:

Emos Hate themselves
Goths hate Everyone
Emos Want to Kill themselves
Goths Want to kill Everyone

yes I saw her in the bathroom she sat in there for like 30 mins clutching that balloon and not saying a word!

I'm not hating but that is one of those reasons why everyone in the bathrooms is either rolling, not washing hands, having anal sex and or hugging eachother.

took you guys long enough.

i think this is the first time i have ever called an ITG show a ripoff.... i could be wrong.

in the past, my complaints about ITG have been limited to the nonpayment for sound services rendered on last minute notice.

i even got banned from bluelight for asking for it this fall.

Jay, Geekster, whoever...I have been over this with you & Jimmy J. many times...Jimmy offered sound for free to help out...We agreed on gas money of about $100.00 to cover it...You guys were late...The sound was terrible...You had all kinds of issues with it & the night lost money terribly...(not because of the sound) I discussed it with Jimmy and we settled on $50.00...Then someone else started yelling about having to rent extra amps and what not and I pulled the other $50.00 out of my pocket and met my end of the deal...(never agreeing to rent extra amps...sorry)

You have never even said how much you thought I owed you...I think the big problem was communication amongst your crew...

Let me ask you this?? How much do you want? If I give you said amount would your opinion of ME change...(At that time I was ITG on my own) Would it stop you from bashing all our events? Probably not...Riding the wave of an issue that derived from your own crew is sad...

Thanks all for your support...Glad everyone had as much fun as I did on New Years!

Jason

Well I was in the bathroom cause there was a sofa and my tired feet and heavy eyes wanted to relax and possibly catch a quick nap before I drove us home... Remember I go fully sober unlike others and just wanted a place with normal lights that didn't make me feel surrounded by people and where I could just sit...

well, your explanation actually does change shit a certain bit.

i was told by an associate of jimmi journey that we were contacted last minute to bring sound to your event for a grand total of $250. i get the info about this the night before the show. because one of my amps had been acting funny lately, i had to find a replacement amp and pay for it. at the end of the night, i end up w/ $50 in my hand which was barely enough to pay for the drive from bloomington.

i might almost apologize to you, Jason, because now i am starting to realize that this was all based upon some crazy lil lie in Jimmi Journey's head. Everyone in Indy knows how many crazy lil fantasies float thru his head.

i still say that i think this party wasnt worth $20 before 11, but i must commend you on what i have heard ... at the end of TSL2, you paid many of your djs that werent expecting to get paid bc you had done so well.

1. Geekster JD brought up arguable points, nothing that was clearly black letter law. The misappropriation of my name and use in a manner aimed at deceiving consumers was/is a violation of my Trademark rights and rights of publicity (of which Indiana has the strongest laws in the country ... allowing a person to control their image including likeness and name for up to 100 years after their death). the only valid point made by Geekster JD was the reference to a Professional Responsibility case involving a law student not being allowed to sit for the bar because the repeatedly used unfulfilled threats of law suits against others for intimidation purposes.

2. I havent been trying to hide my fucking identity. All of my accts got banned after my proxy war w/ BL. Everyone else on the fucking board knew it was me. Sorry you guys were behind the times and didnt recognize quicker, but she doesnt deserve a pat on the back for noticing the obvious.

Well Jay...

Here is my sincere apology that things didn't go right on your end...I have always tried to be a standup guy when promoting...I would never purposely short anyone and if I have it's only cause you can't squeeze blood from a rock...(unless it just hit you in the head)
