OH, Columbus - Open Deck Wednesdays @ Nyoh's - $.50 wells 9-10pm

Thanks to everyone for all their support, we passed out 4,000 of the 5,000 flyers for this Wed. show. I'm sure you'll all be seeing many new faces.

Doors now open 8pm every night

$.50 wells 9 - 10pm (i.e. run & coke, screwdriver, vodka & cran, ect...)

Guest DJ's by 10pm every night. / Feature DJ's by Midnight...

And if I didn't mention, the lineups are sick...
Titonton, Ill Atmospherics, Infinite Grey, Brian Neckel, Hawstyle, POW, Shinma, Matt Harder, Quantum, NautiKat, Cathexis, Khaki, Nameless, Caedo, Scitek, Alina, Graviton Girl, Glasshopper, Component, Figit, Jason Allen, Nino Anthony, Nom, Decay, RSK, Chewie, Casino, Glitch, and all the other DJ's coming out the next couple months.

Once again, Thanks everyone for your continued support, these nights are only as good as the talent that graces the decks. Keep up support for both the art & the very talented local DJ's that all to often don't get the recognition they deserve.

yup, RSK and Decay are tagging that night 10-11pm....
Jere said he had someone, talk to him.
OK Mr. Hopper...technically you do have the go-ahead vote, but RSK & the K child are tagging, and i suppose you could throw a young S.D. into the picture BUT...Griff found out about Titonton coming to NYOH's and he is his biggest fan, so i called Justin at 6am on sunday morning and he said he could fill the 9-10 with Flash Gossamer so he can spin alongside his hero. So, do whatcha will, just remember you'll be breakin the kids heart, and it is a pretty big heart to break (insert guilt trip music here, perhaps a single violin). :(

Besides, he's never played there before and is dying to do so, and it's a great way to pull him and his fan club outta the woodwork...

BTW Justin...i can contact RSK & Decay for you soon.
T, Scott, Le Bonaire, John, & Griff Dogg...that's a sick lineup if ya ask me!

Sincerely,
Ye Olde Skytech (born 4/6/78, exactly 26 horrific years ago)

Alright Jere, fixed the spelling error, but I do spell it right every other time, Just threw in the C for good measure.

As soon as Aaron gets a hold of me I'll throw Flash up there.
I already talked to RSK, just gotta confirm with D.K.

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY, remember, take the NYOH's birthday shot at your own risk. We made Aaron take his my the front door last time.

I wish you all the same...

Nothin' but love for the Keystone man himself

So on a down note..... Travis, the super cool manager that has been running Nyoh's is no longer at the bar. He quit last night, industry drama as usual. I'm not sure on Rylan's status (the bartender) but I know how much everyone liked these cats. Just wanted to give you all the heads up.

Now on a bright note.... Tonight is going to be sick, Jere's B-Day, Junglist, $.50 wells, and for all those that still haven't checked it out.... Step into my world KRS1 style biaaatch

i am deeply saddened by this series of events. Rylan was my dowg, he will be sorely missed. i met the owners last night, who are also really cool, down to earth folk. HOWEVER the new (wet behind the ears?) fuck in the security shirt (red hat kid) almost made me engage in certain situations i have chosen to distance myself from. to put it mildly, ... , very very mildly...well lets just say i hope he isn't involved in the future. i regard myself as a charismatic, fun-loving, outgoing individual with whom most never have problem one. and i understand that due to the size of last nights event security probably should be integrated into NYOH's, esp due to the fact that we are gaining notoriety in columbus, but this is not red zone: old boy was conducting himself as if he were just given a leadership position to handle an out-of-control mob. sorry for the bad press Justin i love ya man but that dude really pissed me off...

on the other hand bigup everyone responsible for our beloved burgeoning institution. it is happening people; we've worked so hard for how many years now? respect comes in drips and ripples; let's not trip and fall rounding third base...

Love & Respect...Jeremiah :)

I've always encouraged honesty about whats going down. Nick no longer will be on staff Wed. nights. Situations will always arise, thats why I'm here. My apologies to anyone that ever recieves anything but a welcome feeling from any of the Nyoh's staff or patrons.

hard ass bass lines...jungle style?
- we've got that covered, I'd say the break beats and beatboxing followed by Figit and Nom would do you some good.

THE SHNIZZLE!!
- well if thats the case I'll get a hold of him, never been able to turn down the shnizzle

And just so ya knows, I'm sending a letter out to everyone about the Mid-Ohio Food Banck Fundraiser (may 26th), if you wish to get involved but didn't recieve an e-mail, get at me... [email protected] ... the more support we get, the more we can do to support our community.

well, since my vote has already been cast for me.....then fucking bring tha gossamer out, i suppose....thx jere for your handling of this situation.... 8)

A writer and photographer will be on site for the upcoming show (apr14th). They do work for the Chillicothe Gazzette. They'll be asking patrons, DJ's, and promoters (me) some questions about the evolution of rave culture. They're trying to find out more aobut the music, and scene, now that there's more mainstream clubs and less warehouse parties.... so what does this mean?....

Show your support!!! We need people to know that we can still pack in the house like other weeks and have a great production.

Also, we all have a responsibility to the scene. This means simply, don't be an idiot because you want attention. I know how many of you work hard to support a "positive" scene. Last week I was reminded that sometimes one bad apple can ruin things for everyone. We can't have people acting irrisponsibly. Not to sound like your dad, but zero tolerance for anything this week that would comprimise what we're doing.

There's way to many talented DJ's in Columbus that don't have a means to convey their art. Especially with the changes in the electronic community over the past 5 years. I'm not going to let anything stand in their way now.

All you open deck DJ's....now that the balls rolling on our Wed. nights, here's a lil update....

All DJ's that are scheduled to play out get the following...
Free Draft Beer (1 at a time)
5 guestlist spots (must have them to me by the time you get to the venue)

Because of the new door guys and staff, we can't keep everything straight if we just put +5 after the DJ's names. So keep in mind who's getting your spots.

Also, a friend of mine is running a similar open decks event on campus every Sunday. If you're interested in getting on e-mail me @ [email protected]. I'll get you all his info. I'm endorsing the event because it's an opportunity for more DJ's to play out, but even though ColumbusParty.com is on the flyer, it's not my production.

Snoochie Boochies

these next couple weeks will be sweet, no special events until may so it'll be cheaper too. we just need to get people in the bar earlier... any suggestions? & don't say drink specials, because we sell $.50 wells 9-10pm
