Now this is going to be a great night and I like danyool will be back in the states by this point and surely in attendence. MAD PROPS to ritual for putting this shit on. I also post on discoproductions.org and there have been people down there talking about this as well, I can't wait for this shit.

Damn it, I threw out that ticket stub about 3 years ago. Who keeps a ticket stub from a busted up rave for over 4 years?

A couple friends of mine from NE Ohio went down to that. I didn't get to go, but I do have the flyer.

who's this Richice Hawtin guy anyways? Skippie, Martin i think we have a date!

It's been a long while since I heard any Hawtin that I liked. Though I also don't follow him too much anymore. The old plastikman stuff is awesome and his decks fx & 909 is a seminal album that is amazing from start to finish. I can't wait to be able to witness him live. Thanks Mike for booking this jem.

Please tell me this is not going to be shut down at 2:30! I've never seen Richie booked for any less than 4 hours.

Watch out for City Club. It's a fuckin hotbox!
Well, duh, that's the point. :D
Richie's own events are always ridiculous sweatboxes, and certainly not just the ones at City Club. Heck, read the liner notes for DE909, he explicitly refers to his own events as "hotbox" parties.
The whole experience of being sandwiched in shoulder to shoulder in >100 degree heat and being pounded by strobes and the loudest sound system ever (the Jak system from Toronto) all controlled by the Plastikman is, well, it's just that: an experience, and one you'll rarely find re-created out of a Hawtin event - and certainly not any any other event I've ever experienced in the midwest.

But hopefully Columbus will get a little Jak of its own going on for this show. :D

He needs some kind of four way sound to fully utilize this new badass mixer of his.
