There was DnB last year. Not sure why they wouldn't put it in this year... Jack's set last year was NASTY!!! Maybe you guys should e-mail the above addy and see if they are changing it.

I've never really known Standard Lounge to do anything past house and trance. They're always bringing in big mainstream DJ's. Hopefully they'll bring in some outside judges too so that people know the best DJ wins.

Put something up when you get the DnB battle together.
I know a few people including myself that would be interested!

DnB & Hip Hop

Mike plans on working with another crew for the DnB contest, and there are plans for putting together a Hip Hop contest. This way there is no drama, Last year there was a few Dope DnB DJ's and we had a Hip Hop/Turntablist perform as a showcase. This year will be better for all the DJ's simply because of formating and seperating different music and skill levals, for example Turntablist and DJs who can just mix flawlessly or judges who might not like a certain type of music. Although last year was good, Mike and I want this year to be better. Better and more fair for the DJs in the competition.

Are you kidding me? I believe the judges from last years battle were more than qualified to decide who won. All of the judges were not affiliated with the club at all.
Good luck to all of the contestants this year.

columbus? partier

yo columbus partier,
in the last year ray keith and ltj bukem have played stanadard lounge. there have been a ton of funky broken beat nights with the residual crew bringing in the cream of the crop from england. you don't know you're city very well.

I hope you are kidding.... one of the best drum and bass set i saw last year was at standard... LTJ BUKEM and the only mc i think i actually did a flawless job and added to the show, plus she was a female mc and she was hot, MC Dezium... shit you live in columbus im guessing you should do your home work.

oh yeah and standard is redzone attached and bailey fuckin rawked it and goldie threw down pretty fat two.

oh yeah and id love to see soundvictim hurt some kids and show them what indy can do on some decks... chad if you do do end up reppin i say we put away some of your fuel first... Erk and Jerk to gangstafy those turtabling skills of yours

yes i was

yeah junglist soulja,
i was at that show and it was sick!!! deeizm was too fine!! and makoto rocked it too. hopefully you'll be at for the ladies and we can hook up, drink, and i can give you my cd. hit me up. [email protected]
peace,
seth

does residual crew have a mailing list or anything? All the good Ritual shows I've seen in Red Zone or Long Street have been DJ's like Tiesto, Collins, Dieselboy, Acosta, Digweed, and so on. Especialy in the lounge, I've never seen anything to hard. I thought the contest was just in the lounge and not all of Red Zone. You guys know though ...hell, you work with them. Do they have anything coming up thats DnB or maybe a DJ for that Sat. Hip-Hop night?
