Dave has made his name as a drum-n-bass producer. With family in both the UK and United States, he's immersed himself in dance music scenes on both sides of the pond. Although a long-time resident of Indianapolis, an overseas influence is detectable both in Dave Owen's music and his subtly continental accent.Owen's most recent release, Beatin' Up the Block, is a thirty-minute EP featuring classic samples, a collaboration with Johnny Utah, and a remix by Parallel. Since its release, the EP has maintained a spot on the top five best seller's list on Junodownload.com. Dave is also part of a small group of electronic DJs who coordinate a weekly electronic music night, Juxtapoze, at The Melody Inn.
Dave Owen is quickly becoming one of the brightest stars in drum-n-bass; just go ask LTJ Bukem, Grooverider, Fabio or Bailey, whom all drop Dave's tunes on the regular. The young producer's style blends hip-hop and old soul samples w/ crisp drums to create a sound that is truly unique.
