OH - Boat Cruises are back!! -2004- *REVIEW*

i just remember leaving and seeing him tend to some kid who looked like he got curb kissed .... there was blood everywhere... this was on the dock....
 
WOW - all in all a great party! I just want to thank everyone who came from this area and those that came in from all over the country (even from canada and australia)! check out the pics here:

The djs who played were alll off the hook! From DnB to Trance to House whatever your genre choice - no one was disapointed!

The rumors started on the day of the boat party - that it had been "cancelled" was shady at best! :(

As far as drama - the party itself was pretty much drama free - what happened on the dock was unfortunate and didnt need to happen at all - but it did and was dealt with - end of story!

That alone wouldn't keep jason from throwing boat parties - unfortunatley low turn out could. If you know him at all - you know he tries to throw quality events at the lowest price. And as any promoter knows -you definetly bust your butt to do it.

Djs spin for almost free and come in from all over the country just to play at a boat party! (ITG djs DO spin for free!)- the boat charges him a set price per person (with a minimum price set) then he has to cover the sound equipment and the flyers etc. - so when he only has a 150 or so people show up - hes in trouble.

If you think about it - 2 boats- 4 rms of sound and 12 djs for $13/$15 is a bargain- add in a cruise on a legal venue and it is a great night for anyone attending. So why the low turn out? I dont have a clue.......

Anyway - I understand he's gonna give it one more shot at least!!!! The tentative date for the next one is August 6th - watch this space for details - line ups etc. :)

that is hella unfortunate for that guy, but i have seen a lot worse @ some parties. this is the 1st ive heard of any really bad stuff happenin there, altho some things happen that nobody sees @ any party/concert/gathering. let me see anything like that & i'll throw 'em in the river myself lol. this is the kinda thing that gives parties a bad rep, even tho the actual promoter/ppl involved have excellent track records. of course, i can only speak for myself, but i vow to make this next[& following ones] a safe & pleasure filled experience for everyone. we hafta take care of each other & keep out the negative crap. one love. %)
