It wasn't my site, so I don't know what happened to it. I stopped visiting those types of sites myself as I got out of the club scene. The pleasures it afforded now seem too superficial, expensive and self-destructive.

True...But so goddarn fun...

Vegas to me isn't "real"...You go to Vegas to escape anyway, and live out a fantasy weekend. My bro lives there and says its quiet different to actually have a career with everything going on...Anyway, its only "superficial, expensive, and self destructive" if you visit too much and indulge too much!
 
Hopefully this will be seen here. I live in Las Vegas and in the event anyone ever needs a sober sitter or is in a situation where they are not suited to drive but needs a ride feel free to contact me.

*I'm not a hook up, nor a taxi cab, & no dead bodies please* I just don't see the point of someone hurting themselves or someone else in a situation that could have been avoided. Natually this is free of charge, and I'm not attempting to tag along. This is just an open invite, to let people know that someone out here has your back.

I'm turning 21 in Vegas.

Tell me what to do on a Sunday night... Sun, Feb 8 to be exact.

(I turn 21 on Feb 8, but at midnight on Saturday, I'm going to Donald Glaude @ Ice... is there anything open on Sundays... preferably not terribly clique'y and upscale?? I just want to get drunk, listen to music, and party.)

*heh* And I know I posted that I had just moved to Vegas earlier in this thread... but I moved back to Tucson... and now will be visiting Vegas...
 
I just wanna say I love Vegas so much after my visit Jun '03. Didnt get to experience the scene much, so i was a bit distressed.:( The mate I was with isnt into it...but I still managed to conduct a successful exploration. We walked into the Barbary Coast casino one day and saw Big Elvis.... found a bouchure describing drai's. Nice place.. Checked out RA in the Luxor also, wasnt too bad.

Hope all you lucky Vegans had a great Xtcmas.

PS: I'm from Melbourne, Australia.....where I can tell you the scene is beautiful. Thought I'd mention that.....seems Lonely Plant left it out !:)
 
the new Spundae club night at Risque looks great...lots of great dj's coming up. Any reports on how this club is? Looking to visit Vegas maybe in March/April and want to check this night out....gonna be looking for some good prog house ....one more thing: i've heard mostly great things about Drai's...but lately i've seen a few posts on other boards which weren't so good...has it changed recently?

Update on Vegas clubs?

So I bought some club tickets the end of last year for a few Vegas clubs and Im hoping they're still good!
Anyways Im going again in April, anyone have info or comments for the following:

1. OPM- Caesars Palace
2. RA- Luxor
3. Baby's- Hard Rock (Did they close down yet?)
4. Light- Bellagio
5. Risque- Paris
6. Bikinis- Rio

Never been there...Ceasars has never had a quality club in Vegas...
2. RA- Luxor
Good venue that usually has pretty good djs. Place is pretty big and has cool "shows" during the night. Little bit cheezy, though. If you like trance - this is the club to be...
3. Baby's- Hard Rock (Did they close down yet?)
Haven't closed down yet, but its scheduled to have a major overhaul soon. I used to go there back in the day - the place was the shit. Now it's "old" and kinda played out...
4. Light- Bellagio
Decent place. Kind of like a club with a lounge type feel. Good place to pre-party at before the real places get going.
5. Risque- Paris
I like this place. Pretty small, cool lounge, stiff drinks. Great place to start at from 11-1am...good vibe - but again, small...
6. Bikinis- Rio
Don't ever go to this cheezy, tourist, armpit of a club...cheeze factor all over it...

Vegas starts at 1am...Try Seven or my favorite - Drais afterhours...

Thanks djsnazfor the good reviews! I definitely agrree with you on the Bikinis club at the Rio. This place is really lame and Im embarrassed to say I I actually paid to get in there. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB!
Anyways, does anyone know if Club Utopia is still around and if its any good?
Oh yeah and Paul van Dyk will be there in April? Im so mad Im going to Vegas the week before :X
 
Ha Ha Bikinis at Rio, I just started working at the Rio and thank God the place is leased to another company, so I don't have to make excuses to everyone that says it's shit.

So what's the latest for Summer Vegas Clubs?

Was just checkin' up on the "Official Vegas Scene Thread" and I was wondering what the latest was from those of you who may have recently visited Vegas or who live around Vegas.

We are a group of 6 Dallas-ites who will be visiting Vegas Sept 23-26th and I'd like to find out the best 2 clubs to check out for those Friday and Sat. nights.

2 years ago we went to Drai's and had a blast. We may go there again if it's still a happening place.

What about ICE? I've seen some posts about that and I've received some email flyers on them as well. Is it recommended?

We love dance/trance music and want to be in a comfortable, yet crazy scene. Is Glo Afterhours still around? We went there last year after Drai's and it was crazy fun as well.

What can you guys recommened?

we are going to be in Vegas this coming labor day weekend (fri to mon)...we are going with another couple (first timers). we want to go to a nice club on sat evening....any good suggestions? =D
 
ive been to vegas 3 times, but never gone to a club. it seems like they all have dress codes.
