⫸STICKY⫷ Official "I CANT POST" Megathread....with Mega-answers

You probably need to activate your account through the link that should have been emailed to you... it also helps to wait more than 2 minutes for someone to respond. This is a world-wide board and even mods have lives (sometimes). ;)

haha Ok, thanks, yea I did not try to come across annoying, sorry I actually didn't even know my post was going to get posted up. But thank you fizzle!!

Ok, so I'm an idiot and forgot the password to that email, as I made it specifically to sign up for this site and then I forgot....lol (could have sworn i used the same password as I always do??) so should I just make a new name or is there a way i can get the activation link though another email? thanks, and sorry again, my bad for being such a hassle fizzle. O and Here's the new email, it can be sent to (-snip-) if that helps at all

Can a new activation email be sent to my email? I'm not sure if I deleted the first time or what but I can't find it.

Thanks.

could someonw tell me how, when you are quoting someone, you get it to say 'originally posted by' that links to the post?

You hit the quote button on the bottom right of the post that you want to quote. If you want to quote multiple posts, you click the button to the right of the quote (looks like 2 pieces of paper) and then click the quote button on the last of the posts you are quoting.

You have to make sure to make you post either before or after the quote tags.
This is what it looks like when quoting you.

You can manually do this by copy/pasting a persons quote, but it won't have the link to their quote.
Here is an example of that.

And this is how it looks when typing it out.

You might try a different email provider, for example if you're using yahoo you might try a gmail account. Some just dont like BL emails and filter them out before they even get to you.

^ Are we saying that Yahoo actively filters out Bluelight emails, or were you just using that as an example?

Either way, if we're saying that certain email providers do filter BL emails, it might be worth spending an hour or so setting up accounts with different email providers so we can see who blacklists us.

I was just using that as an example, but it is known that yahoo is notoriously bad about delivering BL emails. I use a yahoo account and rarely have a problem, but I know some people will absolutely never get BL emails through yahoo. I dont know if its just higher spam control on peoples accounts or what... anyway, if you're using X email provider and are having no luck, you might try Y email provider. :)

You may wish to have greater specificity in your question.

Have you confirmed your registration by clicking the link that was sent to you via email?

If not, has the email entered a spam folder by accident?

Is anyone else not seeing the URL/nsfw/quote buttons in the reply window?

I tried multiple pages including "go advanced" and nothing.

Even checked editing a post but nothing.

Something is definitely wrong

Felix got made an Admin again, so that probably accounts for 99% of all technical problems you are now experiencing. :D

Actually, you're not the first person to mention this. I can see the buttons just fine.

I assume under:

Settings -> General Settings -> Miscellaneous Options

...your Message Editor Interface is set to "Standard", rather than "Basic"?

It was always set to standard...just double checked. I am experiencing this from my iPhone and iPad. Haven't had a chance to get to my laptop yet. I'll take screenshots later. So odd

:D
