im still leading my work tipping comp also

only by 1 point and i got 2 people hot on my tail...

o well... see what happens

I guess we should consider ourselves lucky they we have Harry available, even though, i think he had every right to go off his head at the ref due to his poor performance. It could of cost us...

I think this game has the potential of getting ugly also, which is good... If Croatia wanna be phsyical, and try to beat us at our game... good luck to em...

The nerves are slowly creeping in thinking of the game now... and its still like 16 hours away!!!

14 and a bit hours to go... I'm sooo excited... I don't know if I'll be able to get to sleep tonight, to be able to get up tomorrow morning early for the game...

I was sitting about three rows back on the side near the corner where Kewell missed his chance. People are giving him too much stick I reckon. What I saw was Dida making this huge ground and you could almost see Kewell rush to avoid the keeper saving it. The more disappointing one was when Bresciano messed up a one-v-one on the keeper. It was amazing seeing a 6 foot 4 inch Kaka just gracefully glide around players from up close.

Considering the players who were coming in with injuries and luck of form, I can´t remember the last time Australia played so well. Amazingly Brett Emerton had his best game ever in a real match. Lucas Neil has been amazing, easily Australia´s best so far.

I agree with all of that............Great wrap loony........I can see u know a bit about football.

I had a shocker with my tips late in the second round and actually got five wrong in a row after only having about 4 wrong previously from the whole lot.

I have currently failed to correctly tip on 11 occasions...........that includes correctly tipping draws.

How would i have fared in your comps CB and Choppsy?

you would be smashing me

i have got 13 wrong so far

so im on 27 at the moment

thats including picking and not picking the draws

Not sure how you'd be doing, as we get extra points for predicting the score correctly as well...

You get 1 point for correctly picking the winner or a draw, and you get 2 bonus points for correctly picking the score...

So, yeah... I'm not 100% sure :)

CB :)

I just realised that it is going to be near impossible to get back to sleep when we win. I think I'll just come into work (extremley) early and get my 8hours over and done with, so then I can goto the pub and celebrate!

GO THE SOCCEROOS!

(so excited!)

Because of Timmy Cahill, I am rooting for the Aussies too!

Come on you golds! :p

Looking forward to some awesome games tonight.

First up Italy vs. Czech Republic with both teams having to play 1st rate teams to try and qualify. I'm hoping for a 2-2 draw so both teams can go through if Ghana loses. And then maybe Italy will play Australia... *rubs hands together*

Nap time and then Australia's moment of TRUTH (I've heard that so many times in the broadcast lately)... I bet it will be 2-1 and that Australia will come from behind.

the game is on in 2 hours in america im so drunk the game is for czech since im polish..clo0sest since POLAND couldnt make it CZECH 2 ITALY 1

Now Mary Poppins doesn't agree with me, but I think Tomas Rosicky from Czech looks a little like a young Johnny Depp. Fuck yeah!

WHAT WILL IAMTHA1 DO IF ITALY PLAY AUSTRALIA ?

(yeah I know... the white text below doesn't stand out much)

AUSTRALIA

OR...

ITALY

On one hand we have Italy. The European landmass that brought us such fine things as pizza, Rome, Pavarotti and gruppa - or however else you spell that strange homemade Italian wine.

Her extended family reside there (maybe). They grow olives. Russel Crowe was once in a movie staged there. One great scene had him fighting lions in a little-known tucked away landmark one can find if you have Italian friends "in the know"....

Locals call it the coliseum. (pronounced "cough-liue-sea" the 'um' is silent)
Others call it the "Vatican". An easy mistake to make since both are "things you look at".

On the other hand we have Australia. The true home country. The place where iamtha1 was born (maybe), has grown (maybe) and lived for all of her 16.5 years (maybe).
The land of kangaroos and bush tucker. Ernie Dingo, hearts of gold and plucky 'can-do' spirits.
A place where "soccer" was admittedly thought of as a bit of a nancy Eurosport (much like other famed European games such as "Frisbee", "Fly Fishing" and "War"), up until.... well.....roughly three weeks ago.

The previously mentioned AwesomeScene which presented a scrawny mean toothy lion fighting a dinky di Aussie battler Russel Crowe (new zealand is close enough) in a stadium could not make for a more apt metaphor for the hopefully upcoming italy VS australia match.

How can one choose between the two great nations?

Easy.

Just glance over the unbias images below

Pick wisely young digger Nay. I know you will make a true blue decision. Onya.
