Sorry but there weed is average and over priced. Only thing decent are the rifman hashes, which are stupidly expensive.

The funny thing is you're both right. There is no consistency in the green at Dampkring. Depending on the time of year you can get the best weed in Amsterdam, absolutely caked in orangey trichs that cover your fingers, or you can get mediocre rushed stuff that's barely been cured. To be honest I haven't had the awesome stuff from there in a long time, even at the Cup they were a poor show. I stick to Grey area and Barneys. Barney's is staffed exclusively by arrogant cunts though, so buy the overpriced but amazing green and go smoke it in 420 cafe %)
 
Yeah Grey Area is a good place for weed they do dna's stuff I think. The shop itself is shit though the size of a shed and full of American dweebs.
I really rate Dampkring I like the decor and atmosphere. Like it when you can see them weighing it out it seems really professional. Not been there for a few years so it might have gone downhill but it was where I first tried nyc diesel and I've been in love ever since.
I think Barney's is a bit hit and miss personally.
One place I thought was utter shit was the the Rokerij. Apparently there's three but I could only find one with a complete twat for a dealer and they sold us some sour diesel for 18 euro a gram and it tasted like shit and gave me a headache.
 
Yeah it's important to get to Barneys when they have just restocked, otherwise you can end up with whispy little bits of bud. Honey bee was my all time favourite strain in Amsterdam, closely followed by silver bubble. I wish I could find some reclining buddha, but I have a feeling that's just honey bee.
 
You'll probably already know all the major touristy places and things, but how about sampling some of the local coffee? It's really strong and served in a teeny cup and is better than anything you get in this country. Not too far out of the capital there are some really nice beaches and hill climbs you can do if that takes your fancy. Be sure to get one of the pointy hats the locals wear, makes a great memento for when you get home. Oh hold on, Amsterdam.... I thought you said Vietnam.
 
Has anyone been to easytimes coffeeshop on leidsestraat? Or tops on leidsestraat? 2 nice coffeeshops that I didn't really manage to make it past on the way out of my hostel every morning. Easytimes is pretty good prices, comfortable seats and nice weed and music.

Is anyone going over in november?

Early October for me! Husband booked it the night before last after bursting into the bedroom shouting about a voucher he'd found for the hotel, i was like, yes dear, you know where my credit card is, please bugger off and let me sleep...
 
You got a free hotel in amsterdam? Lucky for you lol.
I'm just back from the dam and I can say that it is the best place I have ever been. The atmosphere of the city is so nice, everyone is so well behaved and happy and relaxed just trying to enjoy themselves... Wheras here in belfast you turn a street corner and find a crowd of 20 16 year olds drinking bottles of cheap cider and fighting...

Hill climbs? Are you taking the piss? One thing you don't go to the Netherlands for is to climb a hill LOL.

Going to amsterdam at the end of June I think. What are peoples thoughts here on the best hash? Good hash is so hard to get here in the UK so I'm really interested to try some really good stuff whilst I'm there, although preferably not at eye watering prices. In particular I'd really like to try some 'cream' hashes whilst I'm there

Dampkring does some of the best types of hash that i've seen but they're a bit pricey. If you want some bargain hash i'd recommend a little place called 'Magic' on Singel. They're Moroccans and they seem to get awesome tasting hash at a good price. Other than that there is a place called 'Club Media' which is a bit far out, and used primarily by locals. Their hash is top notch A* coffeeshop tourist hash, but at like half the price. We got some of the isolator that was going for 40 euros in most coffeeshops for 20 euros in there. I wouldn't recommend iso's though. They just fuck up your day.
 
For black hashes, if you can taste some fresh Kashmir, it's absolutely divine.
