'Officer Of The Year,' Arrested For Dealing Methamphetamine

intended to sell more than 500 grams of methamphetamines between June 2009 and March 2011

what's up with newspapers so often writing "methamphetamines" instead of "methamphetamine"? They never talk about smoking marijuanas or snorting cocaines or drinking alcohols. Nobody is addicted to heroins.

They do it with "barbiturates" and "benzodiazepines" but that's because there's several different drugs in each of those classes. But methamphetamine is just one.

I totally agree, say its "powder or crystal methamphetamine"

I smoke the Marijuanas regularly.

haaaaa....love hearing news like that. When police break the law like this they should be held to a higher standard. Dealing meth is a crime every cop would love to collar, and just think about how many ppl have gone to jail for the police playing fast and loose with the law in order to make a case.

i hope they send that cop away for like 15-20. he deserves it.

think of all the meth heads he locked up or shot. if i was in prison and got news of this, lets say his family wouldnt be too happy @___@

Cases like this make me wonder how many corrupt cops we have out there. My estimation says it would be a high number, especially after seeing a "cop of the year" get busted for selling drugs. I always said if there is one job I would like to have was being a cop, so many get away with everything, except for this guy & several others.

used to work with a guy at my 1st job at age 16 he became a narco-cop on local pd he used to sell me weed and said he was going cop route to avoid hassle of gettin busted hisself and dwi is prevalent among boys in blu here locally none ever rat or bust another...cop code ya know..

yea cop code is why that poor little handicapped boy in ohio got beat tased and maced for having a speech impediment, when the pieces of shit thought he was back talking them...which is not even a crime. Not one of the officers on seen stopped their idiotic partner because of "cop code" and this is after witnesses told the officers the boy was handicapped. Ill see if i can dig up a link.

the point is though is that many people say that one bad apple ruins the bunch. Unfortunately we live in a society with a police force that is a majority of bad apples. there may be 10-15% of all police that are not, or will not become corrupt or morally bankrupt (as much as i hate that term) You cant train a bitch or pussy to destroy someones freedoms, or arrest them, or hold a gun to them.

Good riddance. This reminds me of the 70's film Serpico, with Al Pacino (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070666/, "The true story about an honest New York cop who blew the whistle on rampant corruption in the force only to have his comrades turn against him."

Watch it, it's top grade cinema.

WTG Florida Casey Anthony and now this prick.. get your shit together.
^ lol it's always sunny in philadelphia

Dope dealing cops are one product of the drug war that could be rapidly eliminated with smarter drug policies. See also: gangs killing over "drug turf", the Mafia, cartels, and so on.

This douche should definitely face the same sentence as anyone else, if not worse.

They should just say amphetamines as meth is an amphetamine.

Stories like this make me laugh. I love it when LEO's fail in their war on drugs...
