within a few mo of getting my license at like 16/17, we were hotboxing and kinda speeding through a main road in my neighborhood (nice/residential/ie=wildlife was abundant). i was coming down a straightaway, and there were geese or whatever in teh road. they all flew away, except for one. i didn't brake, cuz i had 0.000% doubt he was going to move.
/the next 24hrs were dark indeed, peeling feathers/etc out of my grill, and my friends acting as if they weren't almost-equally guilty (funny how nobody had problem til the splat even tho we all saw it coming; nobody thought he'd just stand there..he had literally 5s+ to see me driving directly at him. fuckin hate how animals/birds/squirrels have that 'paralysis-effect' and just wait for death :|

lol is kinda funny now over a decade later.
/edit: no they weren't 'almost eqsually guilty' i misspoke; they were not uncomfortable w/ me not slowing for it, and equally as shocked he sat there like he did. bastard didn't even make a last second attempt to move, he was as sure i'd stop as i was he'd move.. was quite traumatic at the time, was more akin to hitting a proper animal than a bird..accelerated after impact and gtfo ;PP
