I would love to see The Stooges again, and Grinderman, but fuck BDO. I'm over it.
Too many lines, too many wankers, only ever 1 or 2 acts I want to see, and generally brutal summer weather (but no beach).
Hopefully the Stooges will do a side show in Sydney, seeing them at BDO a few years ago was one of my lifetime gigging highlights.
Also, if anyone does go please throw something sharp, or heavy and blunt at M.I.A. for me. Fuck that cunt.
Oh, and kill JBT and Wolfmother for me too.

Jesus, there's so many acts I loathe there this year. It would make me sick being at the festival and knowing they were scurrying around stinking up the music world back stage even if I managed to avoid seeing them.

I was lying in bed this morning thinking about some stuff and I came up with an idea that I would really like to turn into a book. Here's the concept:
You know when people get that really fine spread of acne on their foreheads? It's like 50 or so little bumps that look like they could make out a grid and then they cover it foundation and stuff and it just becomes this bumpy looking surface. Well what happens is that those bumps are actually messages encoded in brail, written by God. Kinda like how the Dead Sea Scrolls are all missing books of the bible, this is the final missing chapter and it's been written on the foreheads of people all around the world.
The man who discovers this is a lowly paid, dissatisfied, middle aged man who works as a brail proof reader at a publishing company that specialises in all forms of blind related media. As per usual in these types of things once he realises what is going on it's the challenge to convince the entire world. So he has to travel the planet seeking out these people with the final book of the Bible transcribed to their heads.
People say he's crazy, but all he wants to do is bring a message of hope and love to a world that is spiralling into the depths of paranoia and fear.
What do people think? My thoughts is that it would be like a modern day take on the adventure genre mixed in with a few Dan Brown type themes.
